Dear God, if you are real, please prove it to those of us who do not believe. If you are real, let mrO win reelection. If you are not real, Romney will take it. Hear's your chance God, make believers of us!
Thank you.

They actually have done studies on if, honey. They put cancer patients in different groups and actually, the ones that knew they were being prayed for got WORSE while everyone else (those not being prayed for and those who didn't know they were) got better at the same rate.

I don't remember the last time I actually prayed. If I tried, my prayers might not make it past the ceiling!

Nah. I bet both Obama and Romney pray to win so what's the point? Other family issues to pray about.

Religion hasn't caused nearly so much suffering as you think. People cause suffering, and they'll endorse themselves in God's name while they do it.

If He knows every time a sparrow falls, I'm guessing He cares who controls the United States' nuclear arsenal. Just a thought.

Lord, we are dearly in need of Your help. I pray that You would bless us with wise leaders and righteous lawmakers. I pray for clarity and discernment for the voters, that lies would become transparent to them. I pray that those who may try to commit fraud will be stopped. We need You, God. Help us.

No, there are ways to influence a voter without robbing him or her of free will. For example, blessing a foolish one with a stroke of wisdom.

It is not appealing to one god, but appealing to the rest of your fellow man/woman. If there is any chance my meditation/prayers can influence them, I am going to give it a shot!

You all are quick to jump to conclusions. I have not prayed about the election, but praying for one side to win over the other isn't the only way to pray for it... @politicallyintrigued has the right idea

People don't need to pray for the election, they need to use their brains for once and learn about the candidates before they cast a vote.

I don't pray for one candidate/party to beat the other. I pray for peace, the poor, the underrepresented, the marginalized and the mistreated. Whether remedies to social problems come from the Right or the Left is left to tell. I just pray that peace can be achieved.

It seems the people who believe in deities know very little about the origins of religion or even the word god. The same goes for the people voting for Romney.

I see no difference in religions and governments. Both are inevitably corrupt institutions created by man to maintain control over the laymen.

They both thrive off of propaganda, lies, theft, and death. Their history are stories of genocide on the innocent.
