Yes, very much so. This is a huge decision and the differences in these 2 men couldn't be any greater

Anyone telling others they are stupid or other names for believing in God is no better than the people of faith calling non-believers heathen's and other names. it just proves to the world that they are intolerant and bigotted.

Well those are my beliefs so it is very condescending of you to try to censor my right to an opinion.

@christine- I'm not asking that you agree with me because I know a lot of people will not. All I'm asking is to not bash others beliefs b/c they don't match yours. Debating isn't being mean. It is showing others your point of view so they can see it from your perspective.

Please understand that not all Christians are hippocrites. Some are real, some aren't. I don't appreciate you all grouping all the bad you have ever seen "Christians" do and arguing that all of us act like that, because I know a lot of real Christians, and a lot of people who give us a bad name.

Someone needs to up their meds.

GOD IS NOT REAL!!!!! "His" existence is just a way for the powerful to control the idiotic.

"Respect"? I'm shocked that a "person of faith" is aware of the spelling of the word. Much less the meaning of it. Real respect means not foisting your group delusion upon those who are aware of actual reality.

What a shock. A majority of republicans are self delusional idiots who believe (A) in a "creator" of the universe. And (B) believe that said creator gives a hoot about their petty wishes.

Dear Lord,

If your god did exist, he would work to make the country toward his ideal not yours, so praying wouldn't work. If you want the country to run in your gods grace, then move to a theocracy.

Thomas Jefferson rewrote the Bible omitting things that couldn't possibly be true, like a virgin birth or a resurrection... Or talking animals...

Ya know... When I was younger, I believed that. However, the more I learn about history, nationally, locally, etc., the more I've come to believe that that's just BS. the worlds always been this way or worse.

I'm just saying that the atheists won't shut up about the Christians and the Christians won't shut up about the atheists. Get over yourselves, stop calling each other's beliefs stupid (which is your opinion, not a fact), and stop pushing your beliefs on other people (both parties do it equally)!

I find comfort in knowing that those who pray for their man to win, will easily accept when he loses. After all, it's what god wanted.

..such a great country. We can think and believe as we want. My comment was mainly to say that there is no need to put down or be condescending to believers. It is ok and not wrong that we believe just as it is ok and not wrong for you not to believe.

Dreamitliveit, neither Christians nor atheists know for sure with 100% certainty whether or not God exists. Each side has their arguments both ways and their beliefs. All I was saying is that it ok that we have diverse ideas and beliefs in this country. It is one of the things that makes us ..

See, we democrats are pragmatic. If god (or Obama, as I guess you think of him) has a will for EVERYTHING ... Even rape babies... isn't it insulting to ask god (excuse me, I mean "Obama") to alter his master plan just because you THINK YOU KNOW BETTER?!?! Shame on you for telling god what to do! Tsk

I wouldn't say prayer is ineffective. I know this sounds weird but for the first 13 years of my life I had an extreme fear of dogs. I prayed one night that I would not be afraid anymore and the next morning I was 100% not afraid. God listens and miracles happen :)

Our founding father believed in God. But they were Deists. They didn't believe God interfered in our lives(therefore did not believe in miracles)
All the allegorical miracles were removed from their bibles.

Our country is in the most sinful place we have ever been. Our lives are consumed with sin and God is extending his hand of judgement and pouring his wrath on us. I pray for a mighty revival for this country and that we would all turn to God.

Why doesn't the IRS do their job and remove their tax exempt status? They're breaking the law. We can argue whether the law is constitutional layer.

For the last time, we are not a Christian nation. To say it is, is going against the founders and the Constitution and is unpatriotic. Stop it.

I don't think anyone claims the country was founded on the Christian, or any other, religion. Founded on Christian morals is a different story.
