Are you a nerd?
Lol I know right?
Back in my day, nerds were the opposite of being cool. I was way to cool to be a nerd.
These days, I'm not cool enough to be a nerd.
Life is cruel.
But I guess there's some crazy "nerd movement" going on in the schools??? Where was that when I was in school? I hated football lol
Oh come on, almost everyone is a nerd. Some just care more about their social standing than others. You can't tell me that the nuances of scientific discovery and philosophical debate don't intrigue everybody to some extent...to the point of getting nerdly excited about something
Yes. I am very nerdy.
If you use a washcloth in the shower, you're still in the minority.
You nerds speak a different language
A true nerd is socially awkward :)
It's been a while since I last studied ta' Hol but one of my favorite Klingon proverbs is:
Hoch 'ebmey tIjon.
(capture all opportunities, also known in Latin as carpe diem - seize the day).
Zman - they are all explained close to the beginning of the thread
Or know how to use an OS that is designed to pander to the technologically retarded.
Those stupid people who think there nerds just because they wear glasses
I did not hesitate a single nanosecond before pressing 'yes'.
And I forgot dork. What is the difference between a dork, nerd, and geek?
But have you kissed a girl?
Wow... Nice. I may change mine to no. :)
I speak Klingon.
My collection of Devo albums is unprecedented.
I have ST: TNG....on tape!
I know access codes to the Zion mainframe.
Idiot enough to like your post ;)
No but 1 <3 math
I am a geek not a nerd there is a difference
Yeah, I'm the one people liked to copy from on tests and I am socially awkward. Oh, and I'm obsessive. Definitely 100% Nerdy.
Wow, i was just about to request this question.
Confused Hipsters. That's what a lot of you are. Or at least that is how you are explaining yourselves.
I've never really understood the difference between a geek and a nerd
Im probably a nerd simply based on how often I am on show of hands.
actually you're more of an idiot
Yep, you qualify!
Yeah, nerd culture has really broken out into the mainstream in the last few decades. "Nerd" used to have a much more negative connotation. Now people tend to define "nerd" as "intelligent, tech savvy, and socially deviant". They watch a Marvel movie, buy an iPhone, and call themselves a nerd.
I'm more of a nerd then I am of a jock.
Absolutely nerd central and geek.
When I read an obit I usually think "why don't they just respawn?"
I don't think i fit the definition, but there's definitely something off about me. I used to be rather intelligent (not so much now). Shy, socially awkward. Into technology but I just want it to work & be pleasant to use; I don't want to *make* it work myself or be oblivious to beauty. Science geek.
I am a grade A serious dork
Our class, too!
Nerds are people who are allowed to obsess over the small things, be intelligent and not care about the latest star gossip. They can be themselves because they don't want or need to feel validated by society.
Doctor who and Sherlock. *does happy dance*
I have a hard time believing 50% of the US population consists of nerds.
Popular people like to think that they're nerds when they're not.
Other people would probably call me a nerd, if that helps.
If a boy nerd marries a girl nerd where's the baby gonna come from?
