It is not a terrorist group people... Their news reporting is great and more professional than some news stations in the US (fox). Stop being biased and naive, do some research before you post and make yourself look dumb. The US is not the only "credible" source for news. We should welcome this.

I've never read or watched Al-jazeera before, so watching an American version would be interesting.

I too use foreign media for better info. I also LOVE the 2 am shows on current now. Bill Press Show & the Stephanie Miller show. They are progressive and I hope they are invited to continue especially since they have high ratings

I already use foreign media because it is so much less biased and better coverage. BBC. Never heard of this though

It's a state funded network and Qatar is a big oil producing country. They're widely considered the mouthpiece of radical networks; e.g. All of bin ladens rapes were releases through them. They are to the radical Muslims what msnbc is to the democrat party.

I have to be honest, I couldn't even interest myself in reading the question beyond just a quick scan. I make time for glee and sometimes jeopardy and wheel during dinner. other than that, j don't have much time for tv anyway.

Move to Dearborn. I teach there. When I go to work, I feel like I'm entering a new country where I'm the foreigner. Signs in Arabic, stores are all run by Arabs, everyone's Arabic.

It's on Wikipedia that the state of Qatar owns Al Jazeera. That is ironic.

Actually, their history would suggest otherwise. A reporter from Nightline who worked for Al-Jazeera several years ago said he quit because of their obvious anti-American bias.

Amazingly, they refused to sell to Beck citing difference in opinion/message. Does the foreign country ensure same message? And is there any thought to the keeping of American jobs here? I feel like it's another democrat/liberal hypocrisy in the making.

I'm dumbfounded by the amount of people here that see a middle eastern name and assume its a terrorist group. How about you stop being close minded... People. Google it before you open your mouth at least. I personally will tune in unless my cable company is as close minded as some of you
