As a government one of its rolls is the protection of rights. #1 Clinton shouldn't have done DOMA as it was in direct conflict with the role of the government. #2 Marriage is a State issue not federal #3 Clinton should have directed Govt agencies to accept partner rights from anyone married by any state no matter of sex. Well Reagan took top tax rates from 70% to 28% but never let income tax rates rise again. Over the years gas tax was raised, deductions were done away with, SS was saved so FICA was raised even liquor taxes were raised. All the crap Obamas done.
