Only my imaginary wooden canoe and my daughter's imaginary (at least for now) kayak. Oh wait, I think my brother has a little putt-putt thing in Michigan. Also my daughter's father has 2 sailboats on the SF Bay.
Depending on your daughters age(if she is young) and if you have a sports authority, sports chalet or Dick's sporting goods I've seen kayaks for as low as $100 or so. Not the greatest kayak but decent starters for younger kids or teens. Just FYI.
Thanks for the very cool tip! But she's 46... There's a good-sized reservoir between the town and the foothills where they live, & she's had thoughts of being able to spend time on the water. When she was young, she used to spend a lot of time
sailing with her dad, including one very memorable trip to Hawaii. We go sailing with him in the SF Bay sometimes when we visit him. I think she misses all that, but doesn't want the hassle or expense of a sailboat, just something small.
Those same places generally have better kayaks for a little bit more. It's a blast n I would recommend it to anyone. Good exercise n great views most never see.
