If a 300 pound man comes over and sits next to you, and you slowly start seeing him taking his shoes off, what are you going to think? Do you think that is OK? Technically it all depends on the smell, hopefully they would be nice enough to wash their feet but if they want to take off their shoes they can just go in the bathroom. It might be disgusting but it’s the best place they can do it. Maybe, just maybe I would say yes to letting them take off their shoes, but if they start to take off their socks I’m done

How long is the flight? I’m not going to endure a 15 hour flight with shoes on. I’ve always flown 1st Class and never had a problem or complaint. Keep your feet clean and wear clean socks and newer footwear.

If you’re first class! Or if it’s a 6+ hour flight! On my 11 hour flight to and from Japan I definitely took my shoes off.

I don’t think it matters as long as they smell nice and you stay in your seat. Definitely put your shoes on if you’re going to walk around.

No that’s gross. No one wants to see your bare feet especially on the tray tables! If you don’t believe me check out “passengershaming” on Instagram. People are pigs and bare feet on a plane falls in that category.

It’s okay since you’re required to take them off for security check. That is until they realize that foot odor is the real shoe bomb.

Airplane floors are disgusting.
It’s bad enough to just wear socks, but the people that are barefoot, their chances for some infection goes up 500%.
