I don’t think it matters as long as they smell nice and you stay in your seat. Definitely put your shoes on if you’re going to walk around.

If you’re first class! Or if it’s a 6+ hour flight! On my 11 hour flight to and from Japan I definitely took my shoes off.

Also, I can’t believe how many people wear sandals and flip flops to fly. If there’s ever an emergency, they’ll regret not having on full shoes. It’s highly unlikely, but it *could* happen. I always wear loafers, dock shoes, or sneakers.

Airplane floors are disgusting.
It’s bad enough to just wear socks, but the people that are barefoot, their chances for some infection goes up 500%.

No that’s gross. No one wants to see your bare feet especially on the tray tables! If you don’t believe me check out “passengershaming” on Instagram. People are pigs and bare feet on a plane falls in that category.

It’s okay since you’re required to take them off for security check. That is until they realize that foot odor is the real shoe bomb.

Slippers are not the same as bare feet on the floor. I wouldn’t suggest you looking at the pouch where the emergency instructions are - pig moms leave dirty diapers in there too! Do not eat off the tray table - people put their bare feet on that too ๐คฎ

I thought the question was about taking off shoes. Most people, me included, wear shoes AND socks, so I cannot assume shoeless means bare feet.
