If you were suddenly transported in time to 1612, would you rather maintain your current location or land somewhere random in Europe?
@mama the plague was the 14th century ;-)
Here. No thanks to the plague.
I would fit right in! Too bad its a little before Casanova's time
I'm a brother living in Texas, do the math :-/
I'd take what I know and start America!
This was an exciting time for global exploration and colonization. Europe had over population and reasons for many to want to go exploring. Much of the world as we know it took root in that era.
Constantinople is clean! I'm a great person! Some say I'm absolutely Magnificent!
Here stay in the land where I have some restinace to diseases and also me in particular by the shore
Come visit me in Constantinople!
Europe. I don't think Alaska was quite as inviting in 1612.
I'd live here. Europe in that time was atrocious! (in most times, lol)
I understand why the Hawaiians would want to stay where they are! Any time there would be nice! :)
Id have to say a random place in Europe. I'd make my way back to Ireland and let 'em know Cromwell was coming in about 40 years. Give them a chance to rewrite history a little.
Alot of smallpox and Black Plague during this time in Europe. I would rather risk the chance of being scalped in America!
hey. that used to be my atm pin lol.
I'm black. I would rather be here. There were no real European settlements just yet because it was too damn hot.
On wait. I'm retard. That wasn't until 1619.
I wouldn't want to be enslaved.
Here. I wouldn't want to have to worry about all the plagues in Europe at that time.
I would meet all my ancestors!
Ive always wanted to go to Europe
The living conditions in Europe were terrible in 1612, especially Great Britain. Clean water was hard to find in the city, and human waste was everywhere. Plus, there were wars constantly being fought in Europe. Fighting here was almost none existent in 1612. I would have much rather lived here.
Florida would be horrendous back in those days. Swamp, heat, humidity, and bugs!
Screw crazy religious persecution. Especially since I'm Jewish & they tended to get killed a lot over in Europe. Native American life for me.
I'd rather be here than europe but not at 1612 lol Pensacola Florida wasn't even settled until 1634 or so
I'd stay and become a revolutionary. I'd convince the Cherokee that I was a God or manifestation of nature or something gay like that and have sex with many women.
I'd probably be eaten by a bear.
I'm a new world person!
Drop me near Galileo, Pascal or Newton and I'll be happy.
I ain't afraid of the wilderness. I'd like to be here. Plus, I think the Spanish were here in the 1600s.
Um, no A/C anywhere in the 1600's...
I would live free in America and maybe try to fit in with the Indians, or at least convince them that I'm not their enemy. Kind of like Costner in Dances with Wolves. Great movie.
Hmm, during that time, intelligent women were often burned as witches. I'll take my chances with the bears and native Americans.
If I was transported here I would be a slave. I'll have to go with europe.
Have to go with Europe. No a/c in AZ!
No one from today could survive anywhere in the christian world of 1612. If you think people are nuts now....
id be rich in no time :)
It was europes golden age
The Pacific NW was a paradise back then. The locals were peaceful and food was abundant. Europe was a politically and religiously constricted cesspool at that time.
Europe was filthy in 1600. Arkansas would have been an unspoiled paradise where my ancestors were stewards of Nature. It would have been awesome!
The colonists first landed in this city, of course I'd want to be here to actually witness that. Even though that was a tad bit earlier than 1612..
Well since I would very likely be captured and placed into slavery in Texas, I'd take my chances in Europe.
Every female here should say America because back in 1612 Europe, witch hunts were extremely common. If you did anything wrong you would be convicted for made up witchcraft claims.... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Man: Make me a sammich
Woman: Hell no!
My people were here, I belong here.
Plus I think the ten acres we own here has some Native American history to it, so it'd be a perfect fit.
We live in the middle of nowhere in the woods along a river. If we weren't in the middle of such a natural paradise, I'd opt for Europe. However, we love nature and Native American culture, so I think we'd fit in well staying put.
Oh and the shotgun is for attacks from native American / angry farmer attacks
I would only want to stay in the us on one condition: have vaccines for every
Disease common in ancient America , have an AA-12 ( full auto 12 gauge military shotgun) and have all the devices I have now and a solar panel for electricity
Actually on second thought I would much rather assimilate with the Indians and be a part of their culture over the European ego culture.
