Do you have a monthly cable or satellite TV subscription?

I use streaming only. For one, I need to not spend unnecessary money. Two, I have always had the hardest time justifying the expense. Cable is just too expensive and most of its crap. Just my opinion.

I miss my cable TV, but it was the first thing I cut when I needed tosave money. Very basic cable here is over $100/month! I have Netflix, Hulu Plus, and if I really want to see a series I will buy it on iTunes or Amazon.

Netflix, Hulu Plus, or stream it online (free, but uh... sorta illegal (I think)). You could hook up a laptop to the TV and stream the episodes on the TV.

NO, little of value is on tv period. Football season I go to the bar to watch. What is worth watching you have to spend a bunch of money for a couple of shows, so I listen to a lot of music and read.

Same. Books have much more value and benefits anyway. And music is just plain awesome. Just laze around on your couch in pajamas with a glass of iced tea, some snack food and a book with a pair of earbuds in.

Kindle on the phone is great when you are waiting somewhere. People play games which is ok for awhile, it would drive me crazy.

I disconnected my cable about 4 months ago. Have an Apple TV & subscriptions to NetFlix & Hulu. The only thing I miss about cable is not being able to watch Braves games live.

We don't even have our TV hooked up to get local channels, either. I keep up with my few must-watch shows on Hulu, and if it's not on Hulu then I just don't watch it. We watch a lot of movies too. TV is mostly just junk anyway, so we'd rather purposefully choose something enjoyable to watch.

I should clarify that I watch my shows on Hulu for free - I see no point in paying for that service.

Comcast. No cable means no Internet and no True Blood. Either of those is a crisis.

I am without tv or Internet as of June 26. I can't justify the amount of money paid when I watch a fraction of the TV, and for now $50 for Internet alone is unacceptable. I'll cave soon but hopefully for a better deal.

When I disconnected my cable, they threatened to raise my internet fee. So I threatened to disconnect that too & they dropped my price to $30. They will definitely call you back with a better deal.

BitTorrent is not illegal and is used for many legitimate reasons. It is unreasonable to assume that everyone who uses the protocol is breaking the law.
