Do you have a monthly cable or satellite TV subscription?
I did until about a month ago when. Cancelled Directv. Haven't missed it one bit, and Have an extra $150 a month.
So I upgraded my Internet service, and still haven't missed a show or movie I want to see.
Unless you're from Oregon (based on the polls results), you have cable.
This is the most blue I have ever seen a map... :o
I toasted cable a few years ago.
Me too. Best decision ever
Never have! 18 years of Arthur, VCRs, DVDs, Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV, and a little online streaming has taught me I don't need cable.
DirecTV. It goes out during a bad storm though. @#$!. It's cool for NFL ticket and WWE Raw. Otherwise cable is just a cesspool of reality shows. I am seriously thinking of getting Hulu plus though.
Fios is better !
i stream no commercials for me thank you
Too expensive. Haven't had cable in years... Netflix all the way. Either that or just don't have time to watch.
I cut the cable 2 years ago. I now control the TV in the living room, not the media companies.
Happy to say that we haven't had any tv service in our home for almost all of the past 22 years. For my family, Life is better without it.
Your kids don't watch TV??
I want to cut cable, but the NBA is on ESPN, TNT and TBS, for the most part. Any suggestions to get around cable but still watch all those games?
I believe there is a separate NBA sports package you can buy for your tablet and other streaming devices. We have it for NFL and MLB and like it a lot.
Yes, but no premium channels, no frills. Has local channels + about 20 more. We're even thinking of dropping that because hey, $18 a month is better than nothing.
Idaho finally pleased me!
I ditched TWCable (well over $100/mo) years ago for Hulu Plus, Netflix and Pandora One (less than $20/month).
I have Greek cable. Yay for reconnecting with culture :D
Yes but not for long: too expensive for what it is worth to me (V has me pay for way too many worthless channels for the privilege of accessing the 2 or 3 I might care about...) and too inflexible a deal (no a la carte offer; have to bundle and to commit for 2 years to get a fair price, ...)
That is such a scam I feel compelled to react and kick the whole freaking thing out.
Sadly. Comcast is a bunch of tools but our only option. They suck.
Used to. I realized I could just pay for internet, Hulu Plus and Netflix, save money and have access to everything I watched.
Don't have tv.
ARE YOU CRAZY????
if I could get live sports on Roku or something similar, I would dump cable in a heartbeat. I don't want to miss a buckeye football game.
Wish i lived on the east slope of the mountain. Then I'd drop cable for the airwaves. high Def over the free airwaves is great.
Wow, I'm surprised that folks are still using those dinosaurs when the online options are so much better.
We switched from Suddenlink to Dish for satellite & Internet several years ago. Our bill has always been $130 a month. We've been pleased with them.
Dumping DirecTV as soon as the contract is up. Way too expensive.
We had a dish but lost our azimuth . So we have cable. Cox. They're pretty good.
I don't own a tv
Google Fiber TV & Internet.
How's the fiber tv and Internet?
I am absolutely jealous lol
Directv, Netflix and DVDs. Dropped Comcast years ago in Florida after so many problems.
My only option is Comcast and they are a complete rip off no way I will pay $120/month for basic cable an Internet. Instead I pay $60 for Internet and download my shows via torrents.
You can save a couple (and I do mean a couple) bucks by using their local only option for tv.
I pay for Internet and I hooked up my tv and I get some basic channels. And I don't feel bad about it at all.
Netflix and Hulu. Dumped cable some time ago and I'm better off without it.
DirecTV....gotta have my NFL Sunday Ticket !!
Only got Netflix
We have cable and Netflix.
XBMC with the 1channel plugin :)
I have dish network. Spend a little over $100 a month.
I don't even have antenna tv in my home.
I'm a newsjunkie so I like being able to flip on the TV anytime there's breaking news.
You can get live news through the internet.
No, I never watch enough TV to bother paying every month for it. If there's something coming on I want to see I usually go to my sisters house and watch it (like tonight's new Dexter episode)
If I want the Internet I have to pay for cable TV. Basic cable is about seven channels for $90 a month.
I have never had cable or satellite service.
I do use my sisters HBOgo password though
I might have some sort of subscription if I could subscribe to some specific channels. But I can't, so I don't have cable or dish.
Apple TV and Netflix for a over a year now. I was just testing it and thought I would miss cable... I don't.
Same here! I don't miss cable at all, and it's been almost two years.
Sports are the only reason to have cable or satellite...so frustrating
Bunny ears rule.
I live on Netflix
I love my tv. We have dish. Their is no way i could get rid of it. And the price isnt that bad
I have satellite, living out in the country, there isn't a cable company.
