Tobey Macguire was awful. Lately, this app is just reminding me how far America has fallen. Culturally, and politically.

@ the only reason they made a new one is to use the actor In The avenger movies

The new spiderman was awesome! Way more like the comics. Tobey maguire was way too sappy and depressing at times.

Hatsune Andrew is from the new one

Saw the new Spiderman movie today. I knew that even before seeing the movie that Garfield would be better than McGuire, and I was right.

It's too soon for this question. The movie has only been out two days.

Tobey was terrible. The last 3 movies were bad. New Spiderman was great and Garfield did a fantastic job. That's it.

Slxpluvs, I can see the emo thing, but I really liked it, nonetheless.

I feel this question was asked too early. Not everyone has had a chance to see the new movie. Although, I can tell you that Andrew Garfield is WAY better than McGuire. Toby didn't even look or act like Spider-Man.

07/07/12 12:21 pm

Anyone who knows anything about spiderman should be saying Garfield. Mcguires spiderman wasnt even a shadow of the spidey from the comics.

YOU MUST BE JOKING. Tobey was terrible and Garfield was terrific

Tobey sucks. The only reason he got that role was because he was banging one the elite film Jews daughters in hollywoodland.

TM was horrible so the new guy has to be better.

Andrew Garfield's was about 1000% better, so much more true to the comics, Spider-Man was sassy and obnoxious, and so is Garfield.

07/07/12 10:36 am

I'd have to say Andrew just for the fact that he plays the nerdy side much better. spiders are supposed to be agile and scrawny. Andrew plays that pretty well when compared to Tobey, he doesn't have the 'spider' look to him like Andrew does.

07/07/12 10:25 am

Andrew played the part so much better than Tobey. The new movie was better than the old ones, because it stays true to the origins. It was just an all-around better cast this time too.

07/07/12 10:17 am

I liked Andrew better. He was a cool nerd as opposed to Tobey whose character lacked a little substance.

I was never satisfied with Tobey as Spiderman. Andrew seems much more suited to the part. Not to mention he did most of his own stunts, which is pretty impressive to me after seeing the new movie.

Burnsey89, Indeed I was being ironic. Andrew is much too emo for the role.

Why even make a new Spiderman movie? Nothing was wrong with the first one.

I don't think anyone can beat the original, but I was pleased with Andrew Garfield's portrayal of the web slinging hero

Slxpluvs, are you talking about the new movie? Because there wasn't a lot of sleeping, no lasagna, and I can't recall one Monday joke.

Andrew and this entire production were ten times better than the previous. At least.

Why have a reboot so soon? What if in three years there's a new Batman series "The Man of Bat" or something. And instead of Christian Bale it's Danny Devito. Or maybe instead of "Finding Nemo" they could make "The Finding of Nemo"
How about "The Titanic"? It would crash into a giant squid this time

I think we all agree. Toby was a terrible Spiderman. Garfield is worse. All he does is sleep and eat lasagna. And he keeps going with the Monday jokes.

Has the new movie released yet? I cant make a decision until i see it.

spider is suppost to be small and nerdy

Andrew Garfield portrays the teenage angst so well and incorporates humor!

I haven't yet seen the new movie, but the trailers look great. I never liked Tobey Maguire as Spiderman - he just comes across as too much of a needy wuss and didn't really capture the humor of the old comic book character.

Tobey McGuire was a terrible Spiderman. He ruined those movies just like he'll ruin The Great Gatsby.

I like the new face of Spidey way more. The old one looked too nerdy for this storyline.

Well I haven't seen the new movie so I'm going with Tobey.

07/07/12 8:20 am

The new movie isn't just a tweak on the old ones. It's a completely different alternative universe. Spiderman and Amazing Spiderman are different comics. Also, AS is way better of a movie than the first three. And I mean WAAAAAYYYYY better!

07/07/12 8:17 am

I think it's so dumb that they're remaking three perfectly good movies with slight tweaks closer following the comic book.
