Is love anything more than a chemical/biological process?
Science isn't needed to explain love.
my question is, if there is no evidence to suggest it is supernatural, why believe it is? Shouldn't the default be natural unless we can prove it's not, as there is logical reason to believe it is supernatural?
as there is no logical reason*
No matter how complicated, there is a scientific explanation for everything. On many things, we just haven't got it completely figured out yet.
You must not have the right chemicals :-)
Do you think that "magic" is universal? (I do). Is it quantifiable? Or in attempting to quantify it, is it lost? If every biochemical, physiological, psychological, etc. process about love could be described, would it miss the essence of that magic?
I've never experienced it myself, so while I can't be sure the overwhelming response that it is more than that gives me faith that the answer is yes.
As stated elsewhere everything about love is biological when it comes down to it. But some people just don't "love" they either don't know how or can't. So it's not inherent in people either. I think there's more to it than biology.
After puberty, I'm not so sure the age would really matter if you've found the right person.
As opposed to what?
