Does religion and/or belief in a higher power play an important role in your life?
Yes, every day.
Sure. My dad teaches philosophy of religion and I enjoy studying different religions.
No belief, and to the extent I'm able to avoid being negatively affected by anyone else's religions or beliefs, no role whatsoever.
I’m not sure how to answer that, or more accurately, how I define “important”. I wear a cross on occasion and pray. I believe in God and feel I have a solid relationship with Him. I don’t go to church and I don’t think about it everyday, but when I do, things are stable. I’m confident in my beliefs.
My Lord Jesus plays the number one role in my life. ✟
Yes very much, I am a Christian.
No, god is something I don’t care about.
Just so you're aware that He cares about you…
I'm an agnostic theist, but I'm quite strongly agnostic.
Agnostic theist? How does that work?
I believe that there may well be a god, an inspired creator, but I cannot possibly know it for certain.
Likewise I cannot know that there is not one.
I still choose to believe in one, but do not let it limit my exploration of different possibilities of metaphysical structure.
I am confirmed Catholic, but also a lapsed one. I believe that people are flawed and that even something divinely inspired, if it then must be transmitted through people (as all scripture are) are effected by the human capability to err. Which even further obfuscates what we can know about this god. There are some concepts in Abrahamic religions which seem directly in contrast to the idea of a loving creator god, but also some which seem extremely reasonable for the idea of a deity, like the concept that we are anthropomorphizing God when we say "was happy" "grew wroth" etc, which is an obscure (Judaic?) concept.
The closest thing to what I am is Catholic, but I don't know if I can rightly call myself a Catholic.
I more-or-less believe my baptismal vows, and I accept the credo, albeit it is made by man, and subject to the errant nature thereof.
Indeed, and sounds fairly similar to my view.
Im in a similar boat
This is where I️ stand as well. Except I️ decided not to follow through with the confirmation process last year.
Is that for me Glux?
Yeah. I was curious.
I️ have too many of my own belief and faith issues to go through it.
I'm upset that after doing it I can't talk to animals or anything. Charismatic gifts are supposed to come with the deal.
Yes, everyone has a worldview that guides how they view reality.
Yes, I am actively non-theist.
Yes, but in the background, not the foreground.
Yes, I am a member of the Army of Christ.
I am ready to kill for Jesus
Yes, it does.
Yes. Ofcourse how could it not?
Jesus is my Lord and savior. Hallowed by thy name Amen.✝🙏
Nope, but I respect anyone who does.
Yes. I firmly believe in God & I believe that He is the one who guides my moral compass.
Question for iPad users: Does religion and/or belief in a higher power play an important role in your life?
Answer 1- Yes
Answer 2- No
Then why are you gay
Pof- it’s something you are kinda born with, that’s why he’s gay.
Why did God creatr Gluxford to violate his laws
I don’t know, pof. Ask God.
Pof- I’m not religious, I don’t care.
Neither am I zimmy.
I just wonder why God would create someone who was by default violating biblical law, with no choice involved. Doesn't seem fair to put someone on the highway to hell when they have no say about it.
I guess it all depends on the interpretation of God. Everything in religion is so variable, it’s a mess.
