Do you consider a portion of your taxes as a form of charity?
Charity can help reduce the need for taxes. However, charity is smart dynamic and people don't give if they don't think it will make a difference somehow. Just taking my money and allocating it to who knows what is not charity.
Echoing you guys, if it isn't my idea, it can't be charity.
Hit submit early by mistake - iPad-sized fingers on an iPod. I wanted to add that it would be interesting to see how my deduction for charitable contributions compares to the amount of taxes I pay that the government distributes as "charity". Not interesting enough for me to do the math though.
It may go to some of the same causes, but it's not given voluntarily and therefore not charity. At least by my definition.
"Charity by choice is uplifting, charity by force is slavery."
Hey, Tilton, that's the first profile picture with your actual face, isn't it?
Your latest one is fun too, Tony,
First one was the same as G+.
Thought it was redundant.
