I'm not sure what you're characterizing as progressive values. Most people have different definitions of what it means to be a progressive.

For example, equal rights are a different concept than disproportionately greater rights for the oppressed. Which idea is progressive?

I wish people would look at these people in the Alt-Right/Tea Party and the progressive democrats, and push them out. The extremists are the ones who are ruining everything. They're the ones creating the division, they don't want to compromise, they want power. Get rid of 'em

I think the more the liberals push, the more people will flock to the other side. Fines over using "wrong" gender pronouns. That type of bullshit is going to make a new generation of conservatives and I am happy for that.

I think so. We’ve been trying out leftism since the 60s and we have not reached Utopia, so pretty soon everything will probably start swinging towards the right. In maybe 50 years when everything is still not perfect, it will swing back towards the left.

Most likely. Neoliberalism is on its deathbed and the last 'progressive' world leader was Trudeau in 2016 who's gone further to the right since his election. Progressives will continue to be sidelined in the US and the younger generation is less progressive. Though we hear a lot about 'right wing populism' in Europe it hasn't really started yet, AfD just got a voice in Germany and once they gain real power the dominos will start to fall. Japan's nationalist pm just got a supermajority, US has had creeping progressivism since the 60s and it's finally starting to recede. Wait until the pendulum shifts, traditionalism will be in for the next 40+ years
