The comment is out of context. I agree with the intent of his statement, which is NOT to claim that the need for breadlines and the existence of that sort of need is a good thing. Rather he is recognizing that having food available to those that need it is a good thing. Some countries do not provide for the needy, even when the needy are starving.
That is a bit of an extremist comment. The rich get all the food? That country would be out of most of its citizens within a couple of weeks.
It's certainly better they exist when needed than letting the poor starve.
A misinterpretation of what he is saying. Typical of anyone who disagrees with him. Both sides do it.
And that's life.
I don't think he is saying that needing to have bread lines is good. But bread lines are good in Redding people who need it.
