If you could change your sexuality, would you?
Nope. I'm happy being heterosexual.
God made me who I am just like He wanted me.
Why would I? What's wrong with the way I was made?
In a heartbeat.
I'm fine being asexual.
I'm sorry :( why not?
It's not exactly a cakewalk for me. (Puns!)
I get it! But I'm sorry :( I've had it relatively easy, I think.
I haven't told many people, but those I have told have been supportive.
I have support, it just negatively affects my life.
How so? If you don't mind me asking.
It makes me feel like an alien all the time. Constantly. And I can't date normally. I can't talk about these things with most people either, like straight people can, because they won't accept or understand it.
I know that feeling. People have stopped dating me as soon as they find out I'm asexual (and I'm only 16). Luckily, my friends don't really care, and I can talk to them about it. I'm sorry you can't, that must be rough :(
I would like to be pansexual, but I'm not. Being heterosexual isn't bad, though.
Why in the world would anyone "come up" with "fake" sexualities? Pan means all, not a frying pan.
MrL, curious... Why would you like to change your sexuality?
I enjoy feeling attracted, love, sex, and being able to see someone in that way adds a level to the relationship, even if you never do anything with said attraction. It changes the dynamic a bit.
Interesting... Thanks for sharing your perspective :-)
That's a refreshing viewpoint.
Way more than that, honey!
Ah, the Godwin's law of homophobia!
Not permanently...but I've said a few times on here that I would do it for a day just to see.
No way. I can't imagine always (I'm exaggerating here, I think, but I wouldn't know) thinking about sex. I'd get a lot less done.
(Playing devil's advocate)
I don't know first hand but I don't think most people are constantly thinking about sex. Surely some of the time, but I think about my asexuality during the day so isn't that the same thing?
Well I've heard that when people are attracted to someone, they imagine having sex with them. If you really like someone, that would be a lot of thinking, no? And what do you mean? I don't think about not having sex, but what else would that entail?
Are you also aromantic?
I'm not. Thought I was, but that's when I was like ten, haha.
Jeeze I thought I was completely heterosexual until I was 19!
I mean, I thought asexuality was the norm for a long time, because we never talked about that stuff in grade school. Then I just thought I just had more control of my hormones, then I finally figured out I was asexual.
Oh yeah okay. Same here. I thought you meant terminology.
