(Part 2) Does it freak you out, that if you purchase a book at your local bookstore, a book that the government doesn't like, that they will investigate you?
If you pay cash, how do they know what you buy?
They don't. Also, not if you pay, any other way.
Read my exchange below with krazy. It's not what he says in the poll question.
I was wrong. Krayz told me, the info is in the *video* in the article.
Investigate away IDC
That is why I am careful about such things.
It sucks and should not be tolerated. I can see if we're talking about buying explosives out of nowhere or something similar, but just a book from any typical mall bookstore? I just don't see any justification for that kind response?
I agree. However, having heard too many times about such a thing coming around to condemn someone I keep clear if registeries where I can.
Read the linked article (in his other poll). It is no such thing.
It would freak me out, if it was true. I don't believe it!
I posted the link in part one. :)
The government is completely wrong on this. But, I read the article and it doesn't say what this question implies. They investigated and punished the seller, not his buyers. Again, they are wrong! But, let's be accurate.
I am being accurate and would consider being investigated by the federal government for simply buying a book a punishment via invasion of privacy. But I'm goofy like that. I thought I served a better nation where we respect privacy. ;)
Of course, that would be a gross invasion of privacy.
Where in the linked article does it say that they investigated any buyers? Seriously, I may have missed it. I will admit I was wrong, if you point me to it.
It was in the video portion.
I read the article then watched the video. You're right it wasn't in the article, but I asked the questions after I watched. Sorry bout that. :)
You are right and I was wrong. I heard it in the video. I retract my earlier comments.
It's ok. My fault for not directing this question to the video part. :)
