I think it's hard to imagine as well. However, what I've read and what I've seen indicate people will be extremely ruthless to keep what they have and take more if they can.

Being a Christian did not even enter my mind when I wrote this poll I was thinking of it more as a holistic issue. Extreme power and extreme wealth do not correlate directly with the Christian religion.

And my comment was prompted a spate of polls about the challenges to Christianity in the US and around the world. This seemed similar.

As they say power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. On the other hand I believe the altruistic "power"of a Gandhi or Mother Theresa is something different altogether!

I believe most would. I believe some have the power to be ruthless about it while others have far less.

I believe you are right. I am speaking more to those who have quite a bit and may be very ruthless in their attempts to keep it.

It could be that some people have more because they are more protective of it, or more selfish in general. I don't think that is always true though. Sometimes ruthlessness may just be a manifestation of competitiveness. All of it is just enough!

Agreed. I've met many who I joke would gladly sell other's body parts for power and profit. I've also had the honor of meeting those who use their power and money for the good of all people. The latter are far and few between and I cherish them.

It was great! I was so nervous though I hardly remember anything anyone said. :)

Kay, I felt the exact same way and when I went back and watched it I realized how many people were talking and I really hadn't heard half of what they were saying. Maybe the next time we go on it will be easier. :)
