Most cultures teach the rule of ownership. The culture divides things into mine/yours. That sets up a ruthless defense for owned things. I would fully expect a ruthless response to taking from them.

Thanks to all of you. I was on air with you Kay and it was great. I'm hoping to draw some attention to the fact that there are actual people behind these users on the site. Maybe it will make SOH a little nicer place. :)

It could be that some people have more because they are more protective of it, or more selfish in general. I don't think that is always true though. Sometimes ruthlessness may just be a manifestation of competitiveness. All of it is just enough!

Agreed. I've met many who I joke would gladly sell other's body parts for power and profit. I've also had the honor of meeting those who use their power and money for the good of all people. The latter are far and few between and I cherish them.

I believe most would. I believe some have the power to be ruthless about it while others have far less.

Kay, I felt the exact same way and when I went back and watched it I realized how many people were talking and I really hadn't heard half of what they were saying. Maybe the next time we go on it will be easier. :)

As they say power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. On the other hand I believe the altruistic "power"of a Gandhi or Mother Theresa is something different altogether!

I believe you are right. I am speaking more to those who have quite a bit and may be very ruthless in their attempts to keep it.

Being a Christian did not even enter my mind when I wrote this poll I was thinking of it more as a holistic issue. Extreme power and extreme wealth do not correlate directly with the Christian religion.
