Hard to say. There was the U ofMN twins studies where a pair separated at birth both would't eat food without cinnamon on it, but is a type A child going to necessarily come from type A parents? And would that trait arise if the child was adopted?

Generally, environment. Unless that motivation is crippled by genetic factors such as depression, anxiety, physical handicap, etc.

Personally, my depression and anxiety are genetic and lifelong. It can be either or a combination of both.

You can have a genetic predisposition to those traits, but environment plays a role too.

Was when I was a younger man... about 14 years ago I was in the actuary science program, but had to leave for various reasons. You? I mentioned the study as I knew a couple sets that were in it and have seen a random documentary on the study.
