Do you ever write product reviews?
I think if you write the bad you should write the good too.
So people can enjoy what you enjoyed.
I never have but I appreciate those who do.
I read reviews for everything. If I am buying something, staying somewhere, going out to eat. Going to an attraction.
Real reviews from real people away what I do.
So I feel it only right that I review my experiences.
I look at it like voting. If you don't write reviews on a product, don't complain when it never changes.
If that is the case don't post comments.
A few tips for reviewing - in my case it's mainly apps, but it should be generally valid:
- "it sucks" or "best ever" aren't helpful comments. Be specific.
- point out the pros and cons
- don't compare apples to oranges, if you rate a product stay within that product's scope
I review etsy products I have bought, but most of my product reviews are literature related. Once I started leaving reviews for books, publishing companies started giving me books for free given that I leave an honest review of the book.
Then quit using the app. Real simple!
There's a local restaurant that all the woman I know give bad reviews to. He is pro nazi. Said if a woman is raped she should lay back and enjoy it. I said if I were ever to commit a crime I'd hire someone to rape him and tell him. Bend over and enjoy it.
BTW, everyone should read the Amazon reviews for a banana cutting product (it's in the shape of a banana, can't miss it) those reviews are hilarious.
- if it's a game and you have progressed give a few hints
- avoid personal attacks.
Just put yourself in the position of a customer, what would you want to know?
Don't give a bad rating just because you can't figure it out. Maybe it's just you ;)
I read reviews before making big purchases, staying in hotels or buying products online. I'll usually write a review if I was extremely satisfied or extremely dissatisfied. I'm usually interested in the negative reviews, so I'm aware of what went wrong for other people.
Product Review: Show of Hands app.
I don't but before I buy something online I read them religiously
Yes. I try to write satisfied product reviews when possible since so many of them only address the downsides of a product or business. I also ask to speak to the manager to compliment great service by my waiter/waitress. It's great to see the manager's defensive, worried look turn into a smile.
As praetorianus_65, I'm a very prolific app reviewer on amazon and many reviews have been deemed helpful.
I love writing product reviews. I'll write one -- good, bad, or otherwise. I like reading them when I'm making decisions, so I hope mine will help other people.
Oh, who has time for that?
Nope. If I like it I'll use it. If I don't like it I wont use it.
If the product was bad, yes. Just so other people don't waste their money like I did.
Thank you! :-)
Not everyone uses the app! There's people out there that vote but don't have this.
Yes many on Amazon since the mid nineties.
Do app reviews count?
Yes. It's a product.
We know the people using SoH are more Republican leaning than the general population and there is a strong libertarian faction.
No idea why.
Yes I have plenty of times. I get a lot of freebies and samples and some sites require you to review products. I've gotten some cool stuff before.
The reviews for the hutzler banana slicer were great. Check out the amazon reviews for the book moon people.
Yeah. I think… On apps, I do, but I don't know if I've actually written them for solid objects.
I wrote a review for this app. It sucks
According to this app Romney would have won by +15
And Ron Paul would win by +25
I reviewed this ap on amazon.
Lmao that was the "surprise" of the year
... Lol I'm STILL laughing at some of the blowhards that swore up and down by this app and called everyone else in reality an idiot. Fun times haha
Before I write a paper, I usually write an extravagant review for some business I shop at. It's usually way over the top and comical, but it helps get the creative juices flowing
Sway not away
The only one I have ever written was for SOH.. Only good things to say
Porn doesn't count.
yes, I use reviews to make purchasing decisions, so I give back too.. good and bad.
If it strikes my fancy. Most ratings are pretty subjective so the comments matter.
Not every product is right for the way you intend on using it. For example, bought a cycle trainer and its great... Just noisy. I'd say get it for the price, unless the noise matters to you...
I don't check them either
Very rarely. I appreciate reviews, good & bad, so I certainly should participate.
Kiss my ass boucher
I'm thinking that guy's a troll...
I do, although I tend to write for negative issues more so than positive. Usually bad products irk me enough to warn others about.
I do fairly often, especially for books, kids/baby products, apps and big ticket items. Those are the things that I rely on reviews the most for, so they're the things I try to make sure I review.
No, I haven't, but if I were to I would start by giving negative reviews to all the local news channels that will interrupt national programming just to tell us about thunderstorms in a town over a hundred miles away or that some college coach signed a new contract. So annoying.
Only if a product was exceptionally bad and doesn't have many reviews.
Usually only if I really really love or hate it.
