Mr. President, do u know when you will choose the nominee?
I have already decided on my top candidates and will hopefully cinfer with Vice President nathane amd will tell AFly tomorrow
Sounds coolio bro!
I guess I will have to resign from the sec of treasury position.
The punk is the Independent party leader
Congrats btw Veritas, Im not sure if I congratulated you yet or not...
What does the sec. Of treasury actually do?
Thanks, Mr. VP.
@UW Play Russian roulette with inflation rates and make it rain all day with mint condition Benjamins.
I'm loving the new hundred dollar bills
Veritas, happy to have you as party leader. I know you will do an awesome job!
@dah Thanks! Means a lot.
@trepid. They're pretty cool, but Canadian currency is my favorite
Mr. President, how do I become a congressman?
If you follow AFly you already are a congressman! You can propose legislation and debate bills
How do I propose legislation?
Just comment it or skype message/email speakerafly
I would gladly accept any nomination given to me, however, I refuse to just sit here and discuss my politics, as the purpose of the Supreme Court is to ensure the Constitution is followed, not a ground for the president to place his buddies.
I promise we as a Virtual Government will uphold our Real Constitution.
Is your view of the constitution strictly consistent with the framers' intentions?
No, the Constitution of the United States is a document that must be interpreted for modern times, in my eyes, interpreting it is one of the purposes of the Supreme Court.
I am open for any further questions, don't be shy to approach me!
Political was the VP candidate who ran against me in the last election
Skinner was the Libertarian presidential candidate I faced in the primaries
LateGreat and I argue all the time
I don't place "my buddies" in the Supreme Court I place people I believe will be the best for the job
I'm glad to see we have a president that embraces the voice of all. I approve of your integration of all voices into our government.
My goal has been to make a balanced judicial and executive branch yes I have "buddies" in some positions but I also have people I disagree with because I feel they were best for the job and my goal
I have much respect for your decisions, which are unlike the decisions our "actual politicians" often make.
How can i view passed legislation
here's our history page
Mr. President, I would like to be nominated for Associate Justice, I am a moderate conservative with support from both sides, a republican leader, Steve Z supports me, and liberal justice Bethany says I would have her full support if nominated.
I hope I am considered Mr. President, thank you!
A major republican and a liberal judge? Fli Flopper!!!!!!
I'm kidding I will definitely take that into consideration
And as I have said before, in order to make sure I am bipartisan, if my approval rating drops below 40% I will resign
Haha thank you Mr. President.
I would like to be strongly considered. I will keep our justice in check. I have a strict interpretation of the constitution. Also ask any questions.
Like I asked thecameron below, what are your thoughts on article 1 section 8 and the 9-10th amendments?
I agree with taxes as long as they are for a reason the tax payers agree on and it is a reasonable amount
Hmm, that wasn't really the question. Let me reword it: How do you see it in terms of the balance of power?
Oh I see so like basically the tenth amendment?
or... I'm confused... sorry about this
I think we should live by the constitution and make sure that all laws comply with it.
Do you view the constitution as set in stone during its creation and during the creation of each amendment or that it is a modern document that needs interpretation?
The Constitution was designed to be followed. If we run into a dilemma worthy of making an amendment in order to further the original intent, then that should be done. But the original document needs to be followed.
I would like to be considered, I live my life by two documents The United States Constitution and The Holy Bible.
Do you view the constitution as set in stone word for word or as a living document that needs interpretation
I'd like to be considered, I can be neutral when looking at issues and I own a pocket cobstitution.
What do you think of article 1 section 8?
I'm for it.
Between this and the 9-10th amendments, do you think many of today's federal laws are constitutional?
I think I'd love to see you as a Supreme Court justice.
I would love to be. I love the constitution! America!
I would love to be Associate Justice. I am a moderate that lean slightly left
Also, of anyone has any questions for me, please ask
Do you believe in a strict or loose interpretation of the constitution.
Mostly strict, especially with the Bill of Rights, but I do recognize that some parts of the Constitution are somewhat ambiguous and open for growth/change
You want to change the constitution?
No that's not what I meant by that. I meant some parts of the Constitution were left ambiguous to allow for the growth and change of our country.
Ok, thanks for the clarification
You do lean more than "slightly left" imo
I would like to be considered. If you have any questions, just ask.
Do you believe in a loose or strict interpretation to the constitution.
I nominate mr angerer!
I volunteer again but I don't know how to apply or what Mr. President want to know.
How do you interpret the constitution and why do you interpret it that way
I stay relatively strict to the constitution. My comfort would be to practice judicial restraint but most of my hypothetical rulings would be case by case similar to that of current Justice Anthony Kennedy.
