As a teenager I did! Terrible anxiety 😦 I started going to the gym regularly eating a good diet and guess what? My anxiety pretty much disappeared 💪🏻😀

Yeah, quite a bit. No way I'm starting up a drug addiction to try to fix it, though. Just can't justify becoming dependent on happy pills or artificial personality pills. Sometimes the cure is an even worse "monkey-on-the-back". A non-drug-addiction solution would be great, though.

Do you exercise regularly? How is your diet? Do you have a good support system? All of those things can help.

1) A fair amount. Probably more than most.
2) Reasonably heathy, but could be better.
3) Not really.

Also, have you had your vitamin D levels checked?

No, I think it’s sad that so many people have this problem today. Back in the day, it wasn’t that much of a problem, but today it seems like these young people (35 years and down to teenagers) cannot handle life. 😔🙏

I think part of it is living in such a wealthy country. Sadly, every generation is more spoiled than the last and takes longer to mature.
Lack of faith and a personal relationship with God.
Too much entertainment; not enough responsibility.
Too many hours of screens daily.
Too many parents involved in work and other activities have too little time with their children.
There are a multitude of factors.

Social media can be deadly. Even older people are affected by it somewhat. Imagine what it’s like to grow up thinking most other people and families are perfect but knowing all the problems you and your family have.

I agree with you history. I told my husband back in 96 when we got our first Computer, that this was gonna be a real problem for marriages and our kids. And I absolutely, above all, believe turning away from God is the biggest problem. 😢🙏😔

Well said, Jen and HL! I agree with EVERYTHING that both of you have said! Studies have even proven that young people today have more anxiety than those during The Great Depression! That’s UNREAL! And all of these kids think they have it WORSE than any other generation!

What’s happened? More people on any-depressants than at any other time.

Huge rise in young people who report being anxious or triggered on a regular basis.

Seems the non-religious are the most susceptible to feelings of anxiety and depression.

There is a clear correlation between society moving away from God and an increase in anxiousness. For younger people, it also has to do with the pressure that comes with social media, and the need to be filtered and perfect. I always say, “ give your worries to God. He’s up at night anyway.”

Well said! I have links to articles about society moving away from God has caused more anxiety.
