College mascots come in a variety of categories - animals (real and mythical), people (careers and historical), religious, weather, and others. Which is your preference?
My high school mascot was a Harvester. College was Buffalo and then Red Raiders. My favorite, though, was when I went to work for a newly consolidated district. They got rid of everyone's former mascot and we become The Comanches. Several Comanches came to the school and did a ceremony. It was cool.
