What does traveling have to do with anything? Other developed nations have far better healthcare systems, particularly ones that don’t bankrupt a person for taking an ambulance ride alone. Other developed nations have far surpassed us in education, in part because people can’t leave the system alone, and also in part because nobody cares anymore, in part because parents tend to demonize the school system to the point that their kids don’t care, because they know their parents don’t, nor encourage them to actively learn anything. Other developed nations have less poverty rates and less homelessness, in part due to less abandonment by their governments and fellow citizens.

Face it, the US sucks where healthcare for the average person is concerned, it sucks for education, and it sucks for leaving our fellow citizens abandoned to fend for themselves.

I live in the EU part of the time and your impression of some countries on the EU is dated at best, naive at worst.

I fully understand that Europe isn’t some paradise utopia. I fully understand they have their own issues and problems and that they’re not perfect. However, it is true that we typically do not do well in most metrics when compared to other developed countries.
