Right now, I’m paying a lot of attention.

We just got a Dem Governor (and majority government) who ran on affordability, then immediately put forth 150 new taxes. I’m not even kidding. They also tripled their salaries. They’re letting criminals out onto the streets, changing laws to make it impossible to track fraud, stomping all over the second amendment, and doubling our electric bill to pay for their pet projects.

So yeah, I’m paying close attention at how much they’re currently destroying our lives.

I’m very involved via my small business group. I’ve testified on 3 bills the past 3 weeks, and am headed to the capital next week to meet with legislators.

If you have Democrats in charge, you better pay attention because you will have taxes coming out out of your ears.
Governor Shapiro just put in a $53 billion budget, that Republicans are saying we cannot as Pennsylvania’s afford his budget!

In 10 years, here in WA State, we went from a $40B budget to almost $80B. And guess what? We are short. Even with the new capital gains tax, and the income tax they are shoving through this session.

Until recently the lunatic left ran the city. The new mayor is not a looney and has reined them in a little bit. Still, people like me are marginalized and have no spokesperson.

Any particular topic not being addressed? I’m genuinely interested?

Yes. The far left lunatics are moving out of Chicago and coming here.

They’re like locusts.

Yes and I participate. It’s very important.

Yes, and that’s why I’d move out of the city in a heartbeat if it weren’t for the fact that my house is paid for. Our city council is a band of thieves and I’m the minority party voter. A group of like-minded voters are trying to get a referendum on the ballot to require an audit of the city budget by an independent accounting firm. Of course, the city council (and those who benefit from their decisions) are fighting our efforts with every breath in their bodies.

Yes. County politics are more important to me than national politics most of the time. The actions of the county have a more direct effect on me and my family.

Yes, FATSHADOW is a pillar of the community.

Too many ppl know me in this town at this point.

The current mayor and I have a striking resemblance…so I may or may not have impersonated him locally on several occasions.

Sort of. I know many of them (all the city and county commissioners). Most are well-meaning, polite, but echo-chamber victims.

An ex-mayor is a member of my writing pod.

The big issues here are development, poverty, the university, wokeness, and the power company.

A blue dot city in a red county. Makes for entertaining local discussions.
