Iran's nuclear program: civil energy production or nuclear arms production
Nuclear arms for the already expressed purpose of attacking Israel. Only a matter of time.
You've got a sweet profile picture. That's an M1 Garand correct? I can't really see it that well
That it is! I put an Ultimak M-12 rail on it, and mounted a Leupold VX-III Scout scope.
Favorite. Gun. Ever.
Nothing can compete with an M1 in my opinion. The M14 is close, but the M1 will always be my favorite rifle. Still planning on buying both though haha
God help us if those crazy bastards get the bomb.
A bit of both, just like every other nation's nuclear programs including the USA.
Probably both. I don't fault them for wanting what everyone else has. They see the international status that comes along with nuclear weapons.
I don't think Israel will let Iran's nuclear program advance much more before taking it out ...
It's not both. They flare off enough natural gas every year to make up for four nuclear reactors. Energy is not an issue in Iran.
They flare off natural gas for two reasons.
1) They don't have the export capacity to ship it all out. That's why they're building the pipeline to Europe through Syria.
2) The gas gets in the way of oil production, which can be shipped by sea.
It's really the same reason natural gas is often flared off in the states.
Yes, but if they needed energy, they could use that gas to generate electricity. Wouldn't be hard. Certainly easier than building nuclear facilities in deep underground bunkers.
It is in those facilities because they are also developing weapons. That's why I said "both."
Still, you 'be yet to account for why they don't generate power from that natural gas. It would be easy.
They have more energy than they need.
