What does the "S" in S.N.A.P. (The food stamp program) stand for?
On paper, or in practice?
Good answer. I posted the question after being bombarded by news stories asking "Can you feed your family on only $7.02 a meal?!?".
The journalists apparently didn't understand that the program is not intended to cover ALL food needs, and it is intended to be supplemental in nature.
I could easily feed a family on $7 per meal...and make it taste good and be nutritious as well.
But then again, I have the time to do that, and in many cases, people simply don't have the time.
Uh-oh, do you mean: Ain't nobody got time fo' dat?
