Not so much anymore. 20 years ago there were lots of dirt roads … and then we got infiltrated by Northerners moving here.
I don’t mind dirt roads, the second house I bought was on a dirt road, lived there over a decade — in the Snow Belt off Lake Ontario!

Growing up where dirt roads were a daily venture, one of my mandates when finding a property to reside was, NO dirt roads! I suppose that’s a bit of a falsehood, while true I do not make a dirt road treks to get to and from home, I do have miles of dirt roads on property, so…

Not commonly. When we go to someplace like a farm for an event.

We used to do so every day. My school bus was on dirt rutted roads with one lane runner bridges and when I was a school bus driver in the beginning, I drove on them. One was one way on a cliff side. The oncoming vehicles had to back all the way down to the bottom of the curving hill if we met because I was not allowed to back up.

Lived ten years on an unplaved road in Hawaii. That was enough.

Yes. We live on a dirt road which is over half a mile to pavement. The county keeps the dirt road in pretty good shape most of the time.

Our road is private. 8 homeowners pitch in to have it regraded when needed. Or cleared when trees fall. Seems to work.

It would not take us long to get one. All we would have to do is drive to the stop sign at the end of the street and keep on going, but we usually don’t go that way.

No... I live somewhere where I could drive on unpaved roads frequently, but I don't.
