If you won $1.7 billion in the Powerball, would you quit your job?

I would spend 6mos training my successor.

But Im out after that. I have to raise an army and stage a coup on some tropical island nation before Im 50.

I might end up actually working harder!

I'd quit my job for 170,000 let alone that much.

“I wouldn’t even bother to call them. They will read about it in the news.” -words from my late father one night when we were on vacation 30 years ago and bought Powerball tickets. He was actually very hard worker, just one of those funny things I remember him saying 😜

If I didn’t retire immediately, due to my specific profession, I’d spend the rest of my career fighting litigation.

God I’d be so bored if I did. All the money I could ever want so I could do whatever I wanted, but there’s really not all that much on my bucket list, so I’d find myself bored again pretty quickly.

Yes...I'd have to quit. I mean...I could work doing something similar but I'd end up telling people I'm not traveling or their plan is old and tired and will have the same problems we have worked out of it 3 dozen times over the last few years...and they suck at their job. (I totally have one higher ranked person directly in my sights.)

I would do something but with that much money I would more than likely start something to work on.

I would immediately start using sick days and quit the very second the check cleared.

With that kind of scratch, I would buy a Presidential election.

I’m already retired.
I would most likely donate nearly all, save some for myself and family/friends.
… and I would search all the car sites for another 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible stick shift - in white with black interior.

Samaritans purse not shepherds, they’ve been up in Washington, they just don’t go to certain parts of the country

Yes. I loved my job, but I’d become a philanthropist. Pay your bills, live where you want, invest wisely, hire a staff, help a lot of people.

I say no, but there would be no holds barred with what I say and do. 🤣

I answered no but it would be no with an asterisk * . As a semi-retired photographer who loves to travel and do a lot of wildlife and landscape photography, winning the lottery would allow me to travel more and be busier doing the things I love to do.
