A scientist says humans will go back in time in the near future. Do you believe this will be possible?

Many scientists live in a fantasy land.

However the article is a lot different from the title. I don’t think anyone would disagree that breakthroughs in medical science can help us live longer.

It would be cool, esp since I’m watching BACK TO THE FUTURE tonight. I don’t believe it’s possible but I wouldn’t mind being wrong

At least in America, people are getting fatter and lazier, which has opened the door to more diseases - like type 2, for example. I don’t know how life expectancy will ever increase as more people become more sedentary and obese.

As it’s laid out in the article, I do think it could happen. But I was hoping for something more sci-fi, like, send me back to my college years for a do-over on life. Sign me up for that one…

If it were possible, it would have already happened

It has happened, it did happen, it will happen, and it is happening.

It would have already happened, as they already went back, but there is no evidence of this

We’re already regressing backwards in time with conservatives in power. I’m not interested in staying there or going back any further.

😂 funny stuff. A retreat from idiocy is easily seen as real progress. Open borders, women and men are whatever they say they are, men in women's sports, hate anything American. What else ya got?

Funny stuff indeed — especially coming from your quarter.
As long as we’re making things up, let’s not forget the grandest fantasy of all: that a 34-count convicted felon and adjudicated rapist is somehow the innocent victim of “lawfare” and government overreach. The notion that Trump is a paragon of virtue isn’t conservatism — it’s delusion wrapped in denial.

Meanwhile, all your talking points — from “men in women’s sports” to “hating America” — are just culture-war distractions that have nothing to do with the reality you claim to defend.

Until there’s a reckoning with the king’s nakedness, every criticism you level at anyone else rings hollow. You can’t claim moral authority when your chosen leader has none.

Now more directly on the subject of the poll time travel doesn’t seem possible to me anytime soon or perhaps ever at all.

Nevertheless, I will say I’m watching a fun series on Netflix “The Lazarus Project” that I think is a fun consideration of the concept and it seems to seriously explore the science behind such a possibility.

In any case after a slow start I’m finding it fun

🤣….well now after reading the article. I’m certain finding myself hoping it’s indeed possible. But I won’t spoil it for you read the article is my advice.

There is a huge difference between keeping a person alive and living a quality life.

We may reach a point where we can keep a person alive indefinitely but will that person want to remain alive if their quality of life is very poor.
