Once I bought some batteries. It took weeks for them to arrive. Never use them since

Absolutely not, I try to purchase from sweatshops as little as possible. I know my phone was manufactured by underpaid workers. But unfortunately having a phone is fairly necessary for day-to-day life. But if I am able to avoid benefitting from the labour of highly exploited workers, I avoid it. I judge people who order from TEMU heavily for their willingness to give money to companies that do their best to pay their workers pennies.

Just like I judge anyone who buys diamonds that arent provably lab-grown, and I judge people who purchase water from nestle when there are less evil alternatives, and I judge people who shop regularly at union-busting WalMart (youre exempted if its the only option near you), and I judge people who buy chic fil a while they pretend to have reformed but still donate to charities that exclude queer people and to people seeking to "cure" homosexuality and keep looting historical sites just like hobby lobby, who I also judge people for doing business with, and I judge people who regularly use amazon for things they could purchase locally or through another service.

"There is no ethical consumption under capitalism" but most of us do have the option of avoiding the worst offenders.

Some things look so pretty in their ads. I will never buy their junk for several reasons.

Often enough.
Mostly junk. Some gems. Like wish but with an obnoxious amount of gambling like gimmicks.

No - perhaps I am paranoid, but I try to avoid putting Chinese apps on my devices. No TikTok, no Temu, no Duolingo, no WeChat.

I have, and got some t-shirts, diamond art (i took that up as a hobby since life bores me to tears) but I'm done with them. They make you buy $20 worth of stuff before your order will go through.

Yeah, i don’t like their aggressive sales tactics. I’ve twice now clicked on an item and a “discount wheel” comes up, like i have to play a game to get a good price. Stupid gimmick; I’m never going to spin that wheel.

No but I know someone who has and now she has had several fraudulent charges against her credit cards. It’s a Chinese scam.

I never will! My stepmother has had the same thing and doesn’t get it when I tell her not to use it and to only use a couple of websites to buy things unless I approve it. They are constantly getting fraudulent charges. They are in their 80’s and she is sucked in all the time!

Elderly people tend to be too trusting. They expect everyone to behave the way they behave. I’ve never bought anything off a website other than Amazon and I’m freakish about answering the phone to someone I don’t know and won’t give out personal info to those that I do.

Nope. I don’t bother with Chinese garbage.

Used it, yes. I've never bought anything from it though and later deleted the app. It's nearly all low quality stuff.

No, and I never will. I don’t trust the quality of the products.

You basically buy the same products but from Amazon.

The only difference is the label and where are they being shipped from
