Have you ever started a small contained fire for cooking, heating, manufacturing, or recreational purposes? Arson does NOT count.
Not lately. The main reason is that I have an electric stove.
I make one darn good cooking fire!
40 cords wood 2011. 9 left. You guess.
Many, many times.
That looks like an emphatic, "no". Is that because you don't know how to, haven't needed to, don't want to, or what?
That would be my whole chemistry class, so yes, yes I have.
Hey. Arson should count too.
But arson *is* recreational...
Many times. I love small fires.
Thousands upon thousands
Yes! Small campfires in the backyard to roast marshmallows. So much fun :)
Yes and they are so good. Worst idea I watched a friend do was try and dry their shoes at the fire. Bad idea
Oh course it was the west for me watching them Hike the next day with open toed boots. I think the flit stone thing is the way to go. I was also rolling around on the ground as he tried to put out the fire on his shoes.
Dozens, if not thousands.
Including things like camping (either at an established campground or otherwise), and in-home wood-burning cook stoves & heaters?
Yep. Basically what I was thinking of.
