If you were to bring something/demonstrate something for Show and Tell, what would it be?
My writing - I would read one of my essays
Some if my original LP's that I bought when they were originally released. I mean classics. DSOTM, Abbey Road, The white album, Let It Be.
My grandpas old pocket watch from the early 1900s.
Or, the brick I bought for my son that is place at Dallas Cowboys stadium. :-)
A piece of shrapnel.
Most likely something I designed for knitting.
My 10 year old. He can entertain a room! He'll be a politician or a stand up comedian some day.
Sounds like me at that age
Mine would be stationary drill movements, and maybe have the class participate.
kinesthetic learning is always a plus :)
My 8 foot tall teddybear, ....
Did you get it at the VA conference in Orlando?
Nope, my kids got it for me several christmas ago,
I have some things that belonged to relatives durning the Oregon Trail days -)
I wouldn't show or tell about my antigravity vortex.
of course not!
A book shelf that my dad built in 4-H and I refinished with my grandma for 4-H.
Show & Tell sucked still does
Such a stick in the mud..
I can boil water with ice cubes. Hmmm :-)
My cats, of course. Maybe a quilted piece I'm working on, trying to get good at free-motion quilting.
"This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine..."
Ok. But we don't wanna see your gun.
You sure? A real, beautiful piece of history, it is. US Rifle, .30 caliber M1. The serial date tracks to the last few months of the Korean War. It may have seen action. It's a pretty weapon.
Cutting tools and carbide inserts for machining steel.
Our first telephone when I was a child and our first TV set , again when I was a child.
A collection of albums and picture disks
My flute and perhaps an original composition to be played!
btw, I see my name change threw some people a curve ball haha.
Why did you change from ECM?
Because, I felt that I new enough people now that it was appropriate.
Would it be a good idea to have poll informing people of my name change?
An ash tray off of the USS HORNET.
My favorite possession is a vintage rhinestone purse. It gives off amazing rainbows and it makes me feel hella glamorous.
yay for rainbows!
My puppy :)
My three year old. She's awesome! But maybe only to me. :D
3 yr olds are pretty awesome. I have 2 of them.
You get it! :D twins?
Yep. It's great and I have an older child too. All 3 are pretty awesome.
I don't know what I'd do with twins. My lil ones awesome, but a handful all on her own. Kudos to you!
Probably a painting one of my closest friends made for me. It came out really sick. While I don't like the phrase "prized possession", it's probably the favorite thing I own. It's Bob Marley smoking weed, so idk how school-friendly it'd be, but yeah.
I'd love to see it :)
She gave it to me for Christmas. I'm not the cultured type, don't really have an eye for art... But I think it's beautiful.
Well then, it's beautiful.
You don't need culture to decipher beauty.
Yeah, you're right. I'm not one to look for other's approval, I just write diplomatically on impulse. Least on SoH ;)
Yeah, I get that.
I do that sometimes.
Just not much anymore..lol
It's a real nice painting, btw.
Thanks, I'll let her know you said so. She vaguely knows who you are; she was the one who lent me her laptop. She checked y'all out from the side like a creeper a couple times :P
that's awesome, Jive :)
Tell her next time to pop on..say hello..take some credit for her work. We don't bite, much..
I would show a diagram of all the muscles it takes to frown, and demonstrate all the muscles it took ..
Turn that frown upside down.
He'll just frown harder if you stand him on his head.
A disassembled PC hard drive. Apart from a few screws holding them together, there are only about a dozen parts in there, and the discs themselves are the shiniest things you'll ever see. Not to mention the magnets are amazingly powerful.
Holy crap, Zod. I have one on my desk where I removed the lid and replaced it with a thin sheet of plexiglass. It attracts a lot of attention when folks come into my office. Are you me evil twin?....or vice versa? =P
Possible SOHOnAir Theme Night ... So think hard about your answer if your thinking about being OnAir in the near future.
Great, great idea!!!
Thanks. The poll was inspiring..
mine would be the new skill I learned from one of my students today: how to flip a paper airplane with enough force so that it sticks in a tile ceiling. ;)
Send that student a kudos, followed by a pay attention
oh, I did!
Mine would, have it be my political platform I worked in over the summer
