Do you think that most people on social sites act the same way towards other people in the offline world as they do online?
I vent about politics von Twitter, and talk about the WWE and football on Facebook lol
Not at all. I work with dogs and there is a term we call "fence fighting." When dogs see each other through a barrier they fight with each other through the fence. When they meet w/ out the fence they react to each other completely different.
Not many people go up to someone they have not seen for a while on the street and say "John, how you been, Obama is an idiot and all the liberals that voted for him can suck my..." You get picture. There is a major disconnect with social media.
I believe in general, yes. But the trolls only act like idiots online, due to anonymity. They are cowardly otherwise.
I still don't necessarily think in general people do.
At least what I've seen.
Well I write better than I speak, but I'm still nice. We don't deal with physical space, like oops, scuse me, bye. But there are still spaces, aren't there?
I'm starting to think that at least some people who spend a lot of time on social sites are a lot more shy around people in real life than they appear to be online. It' same shame really, because face to face is exactly the same, only more fun.
Maybe they're less intimidated online and have less fear. This is just an outlet for them.
No, because we can (and probably sometimes do) think of our online connections as being more like us, and being more like us we are much more tolerant here than we are in the real world.
I'm sure most of the people that talk big and bad on the internet would never back it up in real life.
I certainly hope not. Cuz an uncomfortable number of ppl I've come across online have *clearly* never read Miss Manners or How to Win Friends & Influence People!
It depends on the site (YouTube, probably not so much) but mostly.
I flirt more!
You are out of control!
I know I know. I should find a priest and confess. lol
Doused with holy water. For your penance say 3 hail marys...
I tried to but the holy water caught fire when I said the word Mary. Then it thundered outside. So I decided to stop. lol
Don't stand next to me! I am way to hotttt to handle! lol.
Thats the real problem and not the devil.
How do you know I am not the devil? *gives evil little smile* walks into dark corner and disappears.
Like that car commercial!
I try to stay civil with both. I hope I am on here
You are. You are not one of the immature ones.
With the exception of confrontational behaviors, yes.
I know I do.
I think many people would lose their nerve to say things face to face. Just my opinion. I'm talking about the negative agitators. They're probably soft offline.
Not at all. Honestly it's hard to remember that I'm talking up real people sometimes. I'd probably be nicer in real life :/ sorry bout that by the way haha
I like it rough!!! lol I could never say that to your face!
