In the past week, have you done anything you regret?
Your kid begged for a Christmas gift in September, and you gave him one?
That is one of the cutest things I've ever heard!
Yea but its not to bad though my kid begged for a Christmas gift so I gave him one
Everyone should be answering yes to this
I regret nothing.

@monkeyy, I'm so sorry. It sounds like she was very much loved.
Yes. My guinea pig of 6.5 years died on Sunday. I wish I could have one last chance to hold her, tell her I love her, and say goodbye. I miss her so much, I wish I could have prevented it. but she was old, I think it was natural. But still very sad. I got her when I was 8.
Poll shows that with age comes either wisdom...or the ability to not take yourself too seriously.
Gave that bitch some dark chocolate for anniversary... Bitches don't like dark chocolate....
Procrastinated on some HW. Pretty much it.

Put off college application essays for another weekend...
Not studying for a test :(
I have many regrets in life but none in the past week. I may not have done everything I planned on this week but I don't regret doing the things I did that kept me from doing as planned. I don't waste regrets on the little things. It is what it is, if I get around to it I do, if I don't I don't.
Regret: not getting up early to workout
Go to a less than awesome job everyday, so yeah.
Gotta love age filter
I yell too much.
I don't live by regret. I learn from my mistakes. The more mistakes you make, the smarter you become.
Yep, I got carried away in a home decor store. I spent money I should have saved. : /
yes, binge drink like an alcoholic. feel regretful!!
breed, congrats on the new job! That's something I bet you don't regret.
I skipped class and skipped the gym. I regret it but I am very tired and stressed as I just started a new job and moved to a new city last month.
I regret my selfishness and unkindness to others. I hope I can become more patient and caring. There are so many hurting people, I hope I can make some people's life a little better.
I regret this Week..Making out with a guy I'm not into (or ever will be) Every time I think about it I want to was my mouth out! Yuck.
Zod, I agree. While I daily regret little things, my biggest regrets are missed (or should I say ignored) opportunities.
Sorry, BadBadger (I regret leaving autocorrect enabled, so I should change my vote) not being able to predict the future is also part of the lesson - you never know if the door will stay open, so go through it whenever it is.
BasBadger I'm glad you still have both hands - getting part of me caught in fast-moving machinery is one of my biggest fears and I was a little freaked out. Great example though, of something definitely worth regretting.
I just think the word regret is strong enough to be reserved for mistakes or missed opportunities than have long lasting consequences or that I'll at least remember and still regret a few years from now. I make so many little mistakes I don't remember them a few minutes later, never mind years.
Maybe this is a good time to say that I regret offending any non-assholes. lol
Oh, and while I worked around printing presses for years, I do have both hands. Just an example, thank God.
In the case of meeting my hero, my plan was to try again within a few months. Bummer!
Zod, true. But you can't always take advantage of every opportunity, especially when you can't possibly predict the outcome.
It may have been extreme to label a bunch of folks ***holes, but I see people everyday who do things that they SHOULD regret, but don't.
BadBadger missing the opportunity to meet one of your heroes qualifies as regrettable. If there's a lesson there it would probably be take advantage of those opportunities as they occur because you may not get the chance again.
Zod, not to argue, but I don't agree with your definition that regret is "reserved" for opportunities missed. Not a day goes by that I don't regret something . . . opportunities missed, or ****ty thoughts.
Or really big mistakes with permanent consequences, as in BadBadger's printing press example. Most of us are good enough learners not to make the really big, regrettable mistakes very often. Certainly less often than once a week.
There are many things you can regret that aren't evil or even stupid. I regret never having availed myself of the chance to meet a hero of mine before he died. What's to learn from that?
