Considering where you began (family, wealth, natural talents, etc.), how successful would you say you are at this point in your life?
Above average striving for exceptional
I was born into a family of drug addicts and gang members. I ended up spending a lot of my youth in foster homes that were less than desirable, but I'm 19, finished school, drug free, and have 2 jobs. I'd say I'm doing pretty well.
Student and in debt. Unemployed. Living off from parents tuition funds and housing. Study my ass off every day and I still get lower grade than my peers. I got my first D in two years. So yeah i'd rate my life a D right now :(
Nice neighborhood in the heart of a medium sized town. Dropped out of H.S. got my GED and struggling to find steady work while being 31 and living with parents. But!! I don't do drugs so I got that goin for me haha.
Well I haven't killed myself yet, so I consider that success of a certain kind.
Grew up in a household with two alcoholic parents who divorced after spending all their money (they made a lot) irresponsibly.
Live a stable, happy, sober life; have a beautiful home; happily married; college; good jobs and savings for retirement.
I'm working on being more assertive but who knows how long that'll take.
I was able to turn things around in my life over 4-5 years. Stopped smoking, got a good job, paid off my debts, got a new car, and saving for a house. I still picked average because I feel empty emotionally.
My mama is proud, since I've done very well!
>40 9 %
Rofl I'm a hideous failure
Growing up on welfare and now a tax payer. Yep... Above average.
40+% can't be above average. Most people have an over-inflated opinion of their accomplishments
I started off raised by a single parent. Failed out of high school, dropped out of college. Spent four years in the infantry and now I have a six figure income, and my wife doesn't have to work. I would say exceptional.
I've had some very serious setbacks in my life, but I've achieved a lot of good things that helped a lot of people, am well lived and I've survived numerous tragedies. So while I'm disabled, poor and struggling I'm saying above average.
Interesting party filter, to say the least.
Born two two high school or less education parents that lived in the absolute worst part of the state. Now, I'm in college with a job already in my field with a career already longed up the moment that I graduate (I for sure have the job).
Doing pretty well for myself, but I've had a LOT of advantages to get here.
I'm totally fucking it up and am blaming whoever is president THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME!
I'm trying my damnedest but I haven't achieved much.
From where I started and what my mother and my aunt thought I was going to be, I am exceptional. Even if you compare me to my sibling, who all had the same upbringing.
Born to 17 yr old parents, high school drop out,... Now have well over 100 employees.... Work hard, then work harder and you will succeed.
Hunger is a great motivator.
Total F. Killing myself if my grade doesn't improve.
I hope you're not serious. And if you are, please get some help. I hope things get better for you.
I'm doing better than my parents did. Also, I believe that I've moved up a notch compared to my upbringing.
What really matters? Are you on the treadmill of others expectations or on a journey to the destiny of your heart? Do you love others and yourself?
Sounds like your blowing it.
Not sure I understand what you are saying.
I'm doing alright.
Let's say I'd have one hell of a book.
A murder mystery?
Above average. I'm not exceptional yet but I definitely hope to be. I always strive to better myself, not only financially but also as a human being. I'm lucky to say I love what I'm doing and I'm growing my online business. I'm glad to see others
On SOH are successful as well. Our happiness is all we've got.
Around average, maybe a little more. But I plan to become very successful some day...hard work!
Exceptional - but only because if my education level
Money aside I would say I have an above average family. It's almost surreal 99% of the time how wonderful my little family is and how happy I am. Who doesn't wish they made more money??
I make double what my parents make combined yet, I still feel like I'm only average. I have so much farther to go.
Considering from where I began ... F. Considering my status and comparing it to the average of others my age .. A.
Old money Connecticut. lol
I coulda been a contender! Wish I had a nuclear family, but discipline was more often touted than support. I rebelled after high school and at delayed life and career. I'd do the same if I had to repeat as it made me the man I yam today!
I've improved myself much more than I ever thought possible, and it's nice to see how far I've come. A so far :)
Worked hard, saved hard, retired at 55! Do volunteer work now.
Good for you!
I've gone from the lowest economic quintile to well into the highest quintile. I give myself a B because I always try to push myself to do more.
B, I guess. I've done very well at some things, & helped raise a wonderful person. I've managed not to do anything terrible; I'm reasonably content with my past & present life. But I could have done better with my abilities, or gotten serious sooner.
Wait, what aspect of life?
I never feel like I've done what my Mom would have wanted me to do. But, think I've done right by my kids. So- I'm middle of the road at this point in my life.
C, could be worse but it could be a whole LOT better
24 years old. Employed. Happily married. No debt. Working on buying a house.
I'd say an A-
Wtg Liberty :)
way to go
Getting married at 24 is like leaving a party at 10:30. Why not party longer?
I love that I am a D. It's like a smile turned into a grade.
Waaaay better than the mountain peak: A
Only just better than a boobie-shaped: B
And SO not a tipped-over glass: C
Don't be silly. Nothing beats the boob shaped B.
I'm with E-mail on this one
oops, Em, lol.
ducking auto cucumber
I'll be more accurate answering this question in 3 months after college acceptance letters are in my hands.
I'm tempted to say A, but I could be doing better
I feel like I haven't done much. But neither have very many 18 year olds I guess.
I don't know, I've done a lot of 18 year olds and have generally been impressed.
Hayley, for am 18 year old, how would you grade yourself?
Well I'm not really sure how to respond to you, suppressed. So yeah haha
And Matt, I gave myself a B... B-
No one realizes that suppressed is 47.
I was gonna go on a "you needa be positive", but I also gave myself a D... So you lucked out this time!
A "you needa be positive" rant btw, that's why I got a D.
ha, I'll take it. I'm usually not a lucky gal. ;)
Emma, think like a proton remember?
lol, I didn't give myself an F, now, did I? :p
Fluorine, iron, or francium?
With them looks and that brain, good luck would be a bit of overkill anyway. Give others a chance girl DAMN!! Haha <3
