By having the "inequality" sign as your profile picture on any social media site, you're saying that you don't want all people to be equal, which is stupid.
"Equal in person, unequal in behavior."
Its calling different different. I personally couldn't care less who you want to spend your time with.
Yep. The "traditional marriage" advocates couldn't have picked a worse symbol to rally people. Bonus for the rest of us!
No, it simply states they want marriage to remain traditional and follow its religious history. I don't agree with it but it's hardly a stance that not all people are equal, just that all marriage is not.
But the sign is the "does not equal" sign, which, by its very definition, shows that the user of the sign is against equality.
They're against equality of marriage, but not necessarily equality of people. I understand they are inherently intertwined but there remains a difference.
No, it's a way of stating that traditional, one man-one woman marriage is superior to any other concept of permanent relational union.
It's not saying anything about individuals at all.
So are you being elitist or what?
Are you saying that the superiority of "traditional" marriages is sufficient reason to make gay marriage illegal?
Both of those conclusions do not follow from the OP at all...
Neither was a conclusion.
No, they want you to live like them. Individualism is great...when we are all alike. :-/
Which one of the statements in your poll are you asking people to agree or disagree with?
The part about people not being equal.
Seriously, am I missing something? When did inequality become such a cool thing that people felt the need to change their profile pictures to reflect how unequal they want people to be. It's mental.
It doesn't have anything to do with equality of individuals. It has to do with the fact that one man-one woman marriage is superior to any other concept of relational union.
"This is superior"
Pinky, by the numbers, same sex couples have lower divorce rates, and are healthier overall, which actually makes them superior. Your only evidence for "traditional" marriage being superior is probably the bible, which has no power here.
Where are those statistics?
On the Internet. Just google "gay marriage divorce rates" or something like that, and see for yourself.
