Is atheism a religion?
It's not a religion but the people who follow the practice tend to make it like it is a religion by spreading the reasons why they don't believe.
Ummm no. Not really.
It's a faith but it's not an organized religion.
Anyone who said yes is not smart
Why am I not smart?
I believe the Supreme Court agreed that it is. Correct me if I'm wrong and you have a link to prove they didn't.
For their purposes I think it's was correct. I think it's better defined as an unorganized faith that there is no god or higher power.
That's a good definition!
No. Atheism is simply the thinking that no god or creator exists. It's not a "belief" in anything and there are no other unifying characteristics.
I agree. It's not a religion.
By definition it can't be
"Philosophy" if you must.
No. It is not a religion.
All you have to do is look up the definition of religion, and your argument ends there.
It's similar to hear. technically there is no 'cold', just a lack of heat. So atheism is just a lack of religion in my opinion.
