How did you get here?
Vaginal (yes I said it), and both my girls were too. I won't go into it here, don't think most people want to know about it ;)
My brother was a section though because my mom's OB was one of the many who didn't deliver breech babies. She says she much preferred vaginal delivery to cesarean.
The midwife couldn't do c-sects.
As far as I want to think about it, the stork brought me...
I was born naturally and without drugs, but all three of my births were c-sections. Having seen several births during my time as a nursing student, I think I got a better deal than my mother.
None of the above.
Via a standing ovation by my dad & siblings.
When a sperm met an egg.
Midwife, natural birth, at home.
Natural, but I should have been a c-section. My dear mother almost died pushing out a 10 lb 13 oz baby, and sustained permanent damage downstairs, I believe. I'm sorry, Mom. :-/
Well I guess really both. I'm tired.
The zoo, naturally.
C-section to incubator for a few months.
I crawled-out through her mouth while she slept.
you're twisty! ;)
Strangely, my brothers always told me that my parents found me on the side of the road. Hmmm
My brothers told me our crazy neighbors were my real parents but they didn't want me.
Hi Jess! Welcome to SOH and your first official comment!! LOVE YOU!!
popped my SOH cherry ;) love u too!
I believe it was a natural birth. I remember watching my birth video a few years back. Yuck.
Oh wow. No one wants to see that. I didn't even want to watch it myself. "Do you want a mirror? She's crowning." "NOOOO" haha.
Hahaha... It's like an alien coming out. Phew. *gag*
It's a beautiful thing. :) but also gross.
I dunno, I'm gonna say mine was just gross. There was vomit and poop and pushing and forceps and surgery and bleeding and a 3 week NICU stay... Made me seriously consider whether I ever want another one!!
This is one of many reasons I give women so much credit.
Oh wow. I bitch enough about mine but it was free of poop and puke. Just blood and pain. Haha. 26 hours of drug free agony, but I had no problems delivering, just the episiotomy, no forceps or issues. And a healthy screaming baby, ha.
Wanna compare birth stories in great detail and see mr L sloooowly back away from this conversation? ;)
Yes, yes I would like to do that.
In dramatic narrative form. The young woman waddled up to the admitting desk, her distended belly preventing her from getting within 5 feet of it. The nurse peeked over the counter, marveling at the flesh-colored boats attached to each ankle.
"Nurse!" the young girl cried, a hand to her feverish brow. "I have an appointment to be induced on the third floor. Please summon your strongest and most attractive male nurses to carry me there, as I have a soul-gripping phobia of elevators!"
This had me laughing out loud in the middle of my statistics class... Thanks. ;D
