OK, I'm in a writing mood but last Q for the night: a friend of yours is cynical. He says he won't ever vote, hates politics and thinks all politicians are corrupt. You think his attitude is...
I have friends who think the system is inherently oppressive and can't be changed from the inside. On some days, I feel like they are right.
More people should have that attitude.
That would have been my husband, but he finally changed his mind…this year!
“Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you. ” -Pericles

To each his own.
Why isn't it acceptable to be foolish?
If you choose not to participate in politics, you choose to be governed by your inferiors
Understandable but possibly counterproductive.
...sad and depressing.
Does he want that to change? Then vote.
Of course I'm really not sure that it IS making a difference at this point..... Sure doesn't feel like it.
Since he trusts nobody, I think the better idea would be to go into politics himself.
I could get behind that choice.
