The Mississippi state flag has the Army of Norther Virginia flag on it. Does that make it a racist flag?
The Mississippi flag has an old Virginia flag on it? That's not racism, that's bad geography... lol
Confederate heritage.....on a flag? Today? Kind of outdated if you ask me but, HEY! If that's what the people of a State liked and voted for...It's their free choice .... So it's fine...!!
A few years ago the people of MS VOTED in a statewide referendum to change the state flag.
It IS what the people voted it to be.
(I've lived in MS almost whole life & just moved to LA less than 2 years ago-still go 'home' every month.)
Get over the racist S***
There is nothing racist about a confederate flag. It is simply a battle flag that was adapted for the confederacy because of it's symbolism of state's rights.
It just represents Mississippi's heritage. There's a lumberjack on WI's state flag because it's important to our history. The Mississippi flag is no different.
Republicans wanted to change the Virginia flag because it shows a woman's boob.
It was a few years ago. And who was it pushing for the change? That's right, Ken Cuccinelli, the Repub's candidate for governor.
Dear Republican Party of Virginia, really!?!?
Mighty drastic for someone whose name is pronounced with a "cootch" ;P
