Should you be able to video and audio record a police officer in performance of their duties so long as you do not interfere with reasonable and legal processes?
Just because you could doesn't mean you should
You can. Supreme Court ruled so this year. Record any run in with those corrupt fuckers
Yes, and that 'obstructing an officer' crap for filming them is BS.
Supreme Court ruled you can tape any officer on duty
Now this one is a no-brainer. The correct answer is "Yes."
If cops can record is while making arrests, we should have the same ability.
Lights, camera, action! I say record it all.
The hypocrisy is fascinating here. Many want to be able to record officers, but don't want officers to have the same luxury.
The goose and gander deserve the same privilege.
The people should have more power than the government. The government should be our servant, not our master.
Yes, to both!
Must check out the JiveYoungKing poll he'd posted last week. Had a link to two cops making a stop and frisk in Pittsburgh(?) where one was stopped, and the other instantly started recording with his phone. He placed the camera up so the officer
didn't know it was recording, although he had asked. I'd like to say it was serious abuse of authority, but I don't know how serious it was.
Holy dog shît we agree on something!!!!
*pinches self to check for consciousness*
That's #2 on my "Things I agree with rebelfury76 on" list.
Haha what's #1?
LGBT rights, I think.
Makes sense. There's gotta be other stuff we all agree on...
I think we can all agree that the ACA isn't very good.
True. I bet it's for different reasons though. Do you think drugs should be legalized?
Not all drugs.
Hmm. We semi-agree on that then.
I don't want drugs like cocaine, meth, or heroin to be legal. But I think marijuana should be decriminalized and taxed.
I think as long as there's a black market your position does more harm to this country than mine.
And enough with the taxes already.
But taxes are good for the country.
Saying that taxes are good for society is like saying cancer is good for the body.
