Have you had the same best-friend for most of your life?
She lived across the street when I was born and we have been best friends my entire life.
Yes! I don't have one particular best friend, but there's a group of like 6 of us who have been & remain best friends since 1st grade. They are more like brothers than friends honestly. I'm 28 now
since late 1994
Yes. I don't care if this sounds corny, but it's my mother. We are extremely close and she is without a doubt my best friend!!!!
Since we were 11 :) and I am turning 23 next week.
my best friend and I have been friends with since 6th grade. but that was 8 years ago, so not quite half of my life yet but we are getting close:)
Yup 37 years
My only childhood friend died. We were friends from two years old living next door to each other. I have a couple of friends of long duration: two for 40 plus years and several for 40 years.
That is sad loosing a friend. I don't know what the time limit is but after a while they stop being friends and become family. I am glad you have other long term friends to turn to!
Longest I've had a friend for is 4 years. I move a lot...
Two. 22yrs and 25yrs.
My best friend since kindergarten passed awAy from stomach cancer. :(.
I am so sorry. I lost a brother as well.
Ive had 2 main best friends so far, one through elementary and middle school and one through high
My husband. Love you Mike.
since 18 months old....gonna be 25 this December :)
Who has time for friends?
Avoid friends, just more drama I do not need
We've been friends for 15 years!
25 years ") and she is awesome! Met when we were 10! My other best friend I've known for 5 years but she is like a sister to me. Blessed to have both of them in my life!
Seems I have my best friends in stages. I currently have the "we both have 20 year old girls in college" best friend.
He's my hubby! We've been marries 37 years and we were engaged for a year.
Changed my answer, when I read this. My answer is the same.
It's been 50 years and we went together for 3 years before that.
Nope. Didn't meet my wife til 7 years ago...been married for 5.
I thought I was your best friend! Well this just changes everything.
Shhhhh...dont "blow" my cover! :-)
Dude, AC is a truly epic series. Can't wait for Black Flag on Next Gen.

most of my best friends moved away or went to different schools. My husband and I met when we were 15/16 It has only been 9 years.
No, most of mine have either died or got so screwed up with drugs and alcohol that I haven't seen or heard from them in years. I consider myself lucky having two going on 12 years.
I hear that. Drugs destroy everyone that ever comes in contact with them.
My best friend is my sister. She has always been my best friend.
I met my best friend about 7 years ago so no, I'm only 20
My husband is my best friend. We've been together for 21 years. (I'm 36.)
I don't have a best friend...
Military kid. Moved around too much to have the same best friend for very long.
I'm actually currently taking applications.
I hope these people LIKEing this know it is not a form of application. I'll need names people!
I've never had a best friend to call my own; but I have been a best friend to a couple people at the same time.
I don't understand.
How can you be someone's best friend but not be yours in return?
I've had that happen a lot. They would feel a certain way about me, but I wouldn't feel the same.
So you are looking at different criteria? We all have a list of qualities that we want to fill in a person. Is there any one certain thing you can put your finger on?
Well, if we had lots in common, we would enjoy our time with each other. I guess they just enjoyed it a little more than I did.
I see. Do you think your standards are set too high or they just were not the quality of people you were looking for?
I haven't really set out to look for a particular quality of person. I just see it as sharing similar interests.
I am really sorry, everyone should have that someone. I hope someday you have more real friends than you could ever need.
It's okay, it just seems I'm spread thinly over more people. Do you have a bestie?
Not like that, my buddy and I are 2k miles away. I've never had time to make or be friends for real with anyone. It sounds great. I will help anyone but when it comes to myself I will fixitlater.
Yeshua then hubby, no one else as long or as faithful
I wish ????
And at retirement we grew apart. Sad!
I don't have any friends.
Diana!!! I love that girl :) she's serving a mission in Denmark until August, but she will always be my bestie :)
No but I've known them for most of my life.
Since my Wife is my best friend, and we have been together for most of my life, I say yes.
I did have a best friend. But then he decided that his fraternity and girlfriend are more important than keeping in touch with an old friend. Oh well. Nothing lasts forever, especially friendship.
Yes, same one since 1990 back in high school.
Yep. I've known him for 22 years and I'm 42 so that's most. :-)
I have another friend that I met when I was 10, he was 13 or so. We lost touch for a long time but we're back in contact now. He's the best friend I could have other than my husband.
Not most of it, but almost half if it. He's standing next to me right now :)
Derek, if you somehow read this which I know you won't, I love you man.
My entire life. He and I have known each other since before we can even remember, my brother and his oldest brother were scouts together and also really close, and we kids were sort of raised together because our moms were best friends.
His first semester away at USC was literally the longest time we'd ever been apart since, like, ever. I went to the airport with his dad to pick him up with one other really close friend.
Little over half....21 years :)
well he ain't hitting on much but as gar as what I have as friends he is the best of them.. slim pickings no matter how you slice it
Since we were 13, we're 33 now
