Imagine two bad incidents. A school shooter kills 15 kids in San Diego/CA. At the same time, a Jihadist suicide bomber blows himself up in Munich, killing 500 Oktoberfest revelers Which news would you follow more closely?
The terrorist bombing. The Islamists are a world-wide problem. Has been since the blood thirsty, pedophile prophet, crawled out of his cave.
Neither, but cable news would be wall-to-wall school shooting.
I'd listen and read about both, as TV really does overhype. But I'd be more interested in the Munich story, as a typical suicide bomber would not have a device that would kill 500. I would listen to my conspiracy theory radio and hear them claim
it was really a US drone with hellfire missiles.
The Munich news would be more interesting but the US media would blow the school news out of proportion not giving the other news the attention it deserves. That's a pet peeve of mine about the US, they don't show enough global news.
And that's without getting into media bias/agenda
My nieces go to school here in SD I'd have to watch local. But really I would watch both at the same time.
I follow both, but I voted for the global news.
I would follow both equally closely.
One is a terrible crime, the other is an act of war. War takes precedent over crime.
I think so.
This is obviously meant to be local vs global news.
