Have you ever had a nickname? Did you like it or hate it?
I never have. I have one of those names you can't shorten.
Jt, family nickname. First and middle initial. Never stuck other then family though. Kinda indifferent to it.
I have about 20 different nicknames and my username is one if them
Many, and I like some and hate some. They're all pretty strange
Trey. Always Trey.
Nope just plan old Mikeey..
Haha oh yes, I actually really really like it too lol
Lol it's a little embarrassing, but I'm a huge flirt in school and a bunch of people like to call me "slick" for some reason. I like it though haha
I haven't... Well, other than MrL, but I don't think that counts.
I have had more nicknames than I care to count, but I will share a few & I have liked most, maybe all of them.
Punkin' (like a Southern version of pumpkin); Suz (my name is Susan); Miss Priss (Dad called me that when I was little.); I'll stop there.
Liked one for a while now I dislike it slightly, have a few others I love.
Tash, Tashie, tashiebear.
"Bear". Not exactly sure how I got it...
I answered no at first but then remembered I had one boss many years ago that called me Skinny (occasionally Skin for short). I mainly didn't like it just because it wasn't very original.
Foo-foo. When he was very little my brother couldn't say Susan very well & it sounded like "Foo-foo." That stuck. When he grew up, my brother taught his children to call me "Aunt Foo-foo." That stuck too. I mentioned this to a coworker at NIOSH
when I was in grad school. After I graduated one of my going-away presents was a NIOSH sweatshirt, with "Dr. Foo-foo" on the back of it.
Before I say whether or not that's absolutely hilarious, you never said if you liked it or not...
Yeah, I realized that after I sent the 2nd reply. I think I was sort of indifferent about it as a child (didn't hate it, though), but I grew to like it as an adult.
I don't wear the sweatshirt anywhere, though.
In that case, that's absolutely hilarious. ;)
I have a bunch.
My brothers still call me Darky. Not racial, just me hating the meaning of my last name (descendant of a dark one) and them taking advantage of it.
