On May 21st of this year, residents of Portland, OR voted 60% in favor of discontinuing fluoridation of their drinking water, defeating a city council vote from a year prior. Is fluoridation a valid concern, or public paranoia?
"Precious bodily fluids"
I don't think anything should be added to our water. I never have agreed with that. It's not just fluoride either. There are other additives. I don't know what they are but I do know plants watered with well water, all other things equal, do better.
Thank you. I don't want chlorine in my water so I just drink bottled. Nothing added, and no law against it. How nice that I can at least choose my water.
Not paranoia, just blind ignorance. Similar to the arguments against immunization.
It's ignorance, plain and simple!
Yes, your statement surely is. Did you read the link? Fluoride in excess can cease all autonomic body function.
Apologies for the slam, but what knowledge to you base your quip on?
I read the link and it is BS. In some areas the water contains natural fluoride. It amazes me that people who call themselves scientific believe this hogwash. I suppose vaccinations cause autism also?
You can poison yourself with almost anything but at 1ppm it's safe.
Agreed on your last point-anything in excess... Thanks for the reply.
I had first heard of dangers learning of Prescott Bush, Dubyah' grandpappy, made much supplying the Nazis. Amongst which was fluoride, used in the concentration camps to pacify the imprisoned Jews.
