As far as you know, were you named after anyone (or anything)?
I am a Jr.
I'm a "Jr." so that pretty much answers that one
First and middle names are after both grandmothers.
Just a flower.
My middle name is from my aunt and my first name is from the Bible.
My middle name is for an uncle, but my first name is not.
Somewhat after my grandma
In my Jewish family we tend to be named after family members who most recently passed away. Or at least use the initials; I was named for my mom's uncle Benjamin & she told me the name of Rhett & Scarlet's child in Gone with the Wind - Bonnie Blue
My sister & I both have Biblical names that are also family names - I believe mine was a great-great-great grandmother. My middle name is the name that is given to all first-born daughters on my dad's side of the family. I love traditions like that!
My mother combined all of her sisters(3) middle names to make my whole name but later they had to shorten it(like K-5?) because it was so long. If I told y'all the names y'all would laugh lol
Nope but my cousin named his daughter Tiana and afterwards found out we had a great great grandma named Tiana! :)
He said it just came to him, creepy!!
No I wasn't. But I named my son Sevryn (after a Velevet Underground so g "Venus in Furs") & if I'd had a girl I would've named her Siouxsie (after Siouxsie & the Banshees).
I was and all three of my kids were
My name came from a soap opera my mom watched when she was pregnant. Haha
My name came from a man in the Bible.
my great great grandfather
The spelling of my name is after the actress Hayley Mills. My middle name is my aunt's.
I loved Hayley Mills!

My two brothers were, but as the youngest I was not.
A goldmine in Co. and where I get my screen name.
The song Rhiannon by fleetwood Mac.
That was on the first Fleetwood Mac album I bought (Rumors). Great song!
I was born in 83, so my parents had the name picked out for awhile. :) it is a great song!
Oops, it was the LP before Rumours and was released the summer of '75. The album had the same name as the band and it was written and sung by Stevie Nicks (my fav female artist in the 70's).
My godfather, was going to be named for my grandfather but my mom didn't like his middle name Amos,
My middle name is Ruth, after my aunt who died about a year before I was born.
My mom wanted my first name to be Chloe or Harmony after the Elton John songs but my dad said absolutely not. I would have loved either of those names though!
I love the name Chloe :)
I do too! And the song is great! My brother calls me a hippie so Harmony could have worked too! Haha
Yep, I was named for Freud's theory of the raw impulses we have.
Yes, a family friend who I haven't met.
My older brother is my-dad's-name II, so I guess that's why my name is all my mom's side. My first name is her maternal family's last name and my middle name was just to give me the same initials as my mom's dad.
Yes, there was a popular song that came out in the early 60's. When my mom heard it, she decided it was going to my name.
Cecilia was also done by Simon & Garfunkel in 1970.
That's not my name but I love the song .
I was named for my paternal grandfather who died two years before I was born.
I was named after RJ1969
Who are you?
HHH1968's younger cousin
This is going to be fun.
This guy caught my fish too!
Taken off your IG account?
Yeah, possibly. But I posted that pic to my SoH profile last night. Coincidence? No way.
Freaky huh? I never realized how dashing I look holding a rock fish and a sheephead.
Who did you invite to your party, Emily?
Go look at the new guy's published questions which you can access from his profile. The humpday question was funny.
I saw them...then, they disappeared.
We need CSI: SoH Division

You want RJ to be mad?
Swell. How's the juggling going?
Watchu talkin bout girl
Thanks never Mind,
Happiness. My mother had a hard time conceiving.
My first name, no. My middle name is a family surname (that of my great-grandparents, = my grandmother's maiden name), which apparently was a tradition in my mother's family.
My brother was named after my uncle...Dumb Ass.
I was named after my dad, BiggerKennyShow.
I like that:-)
My uncle, the Recon Marine.
Gilbert William Romero is the same as my dads.
I know my middle name (Austin) was a compromise. My dad wanted Anthony after his dead brother, my grandfather, a huge fan if Ancient Rome, wanted Augustus. Somehow my mom settled with Austin, which is indirectly related to Augustus through
My middle name is Magdalena after my great grandma and as a constant reminder that I am a sinner (the Tower of Babel- thanks dad) and my first name, Abigail, is for the one line in the bible and it's meaning (my father's joy)
I'm not named after anybody, but my sons' middle names are all after someone from either side of the family.
I am actually, The Third.
My father is a jr and I have the same name.

After my dad.
You dad was Tarzan, king of the Jungle?
What gave it away?
My middle name Jane. My great grandma my aunt and my cousin all have it as their middle name too
My middle name is also Jane, but i don't think there is a story behind it for me
Cool! Outside my family I've only met one other girl with the middle name jane
My daughters middle name is Jane, named after my sister who's middle name is Jane and her grandmas. Ones first name is Jane and the others middle name is Jane.
My parents just liked the name "Emily"--as did, apparently, a lot of parents in the early 90s... :)
My name was almost Emily the it was changed at the last minute
Haha. My sisters and I all have the same last syllable in our names--"lee", and that might have influenced me being named Emily. Or it was just an odd (and slightly confusing) coincidence
My mother's name was Emily, although she was born in 1918 so wasn't part of the Emily fad. My niece, who was born before my brother married her mother & adopted her, was named Emily in 1984. We liked having 2 Emilys coincidentally in the family.
Our kids all have 8 letters and 3 syllables. We did not notice until about a month after our third we born and named.
My middle name Russell is my grandfathers name.
